I have the opposite problem--I write mainly prose and have issues with poetry. :P I'm working on a longer project at the moment and have set up a writing group with a few of my former classmates, but if you want to exchange work and get feedback, I'd be happy to take a look at whatever you have. :)
wow, i love writing, I used to do it all the time, but now i've stopped for so long, at least 10 yars, that I am not sure I can do it again...
My problem is when I try and go to sleep, that is when all these fabulous ideas come to mind...
so good luck to you, i woudn't mind reading it... ronneybobonney@gmail.com :) if you wanna just let someone read it:)

@Mrs Grape:As would I! It's so much fun to get other's opinions on things. As long as you are ok with my stories containing graphic drug use and strange topics. I mean, I get that that's the point of fiction but sometimes (when it gets to be more touchy) I worry what others would think.
@SweetRose2011: Totally fine by me! I'll send you a PM with my email address.
Yay! Congrats!
I haven't really written anything I can even really note recently. My reward for when I finish my writing sample for grad school is to really dig into the edits for the script I've been working on for years, allowing that I have time from class and rehearsals.
I write both poetry and fiction. My second assignment for the creative writing class Im currently taking is due in a couple weeks and I'm worried I won't finish it in time! I'm a perfectionist so everything I write takes AGES. Good to see some other writers here :)
@earrings:I agree that I am too hard on myself. It takes me too long to write things sometimes, and I have to read it again and again until I'm satisfied. Sometimes I won't even let myself write it down until it's what I want.
@SweetRose2011: Ha, same here. I'm working on letting myself just write, and then come back to edit/revise huge chunks later, but it is hard to break the perfectionist habit!
And congrats on finishing your last story for your class :)
@earrings:thank you! I'm excited to be done. I have to revise one for my final but I'm sure it'll be ok!

I just finished my last official story for a creative writing fiction class I'm taking this summer. Can I tell you, being a poetry writer makes it really hard to expand thoughts sometimes? I felt a little overwhelmed at first but I'm looking forward to being done. I feel like I learned a lot. If anyone is interested in reading anything or sharing their works I'd love to!
It's hard to find writers to share with sometimes!
