Originally, I really wanted to get my makeup applied via air brush. I’ve heard amazing things about how well it lasts throughout the day.
Now that I’m hunting for makeup artists (and finding many booked for my wedding day), the options are getting more limited.
I have a trial scheduled with someone who does not do air brush but uses professional cream foundation and says it has a similar effect.
Any thoughts or experience with this?
My face tends to get oily as the day progresses….

There was a professional makeup artist once that commented on this debate earlier that said air brushing CAN look okay, but generally unless you have a very talented makeup artists it will not come out looking good at all. She also said most makeup artists have switched to foundation instead since they last just as long now and are easier to blend.
Maybe try searching to forums for her comment? I don’t remember when it was.

I was debating to get mine air brushed as well here what happens:
Just like seravictoria said for air brush to look as good as it should U GOT TO find a great makeup artist with good tools. These days there r SOOO many long lasting foundations and good makeup sealers.
I will be doing my own makeup..but to get that perfect finish i will be using a flattop stippling brush ..i am between using a cream foundation OR my trusty liquid one or mix them together..i am finishing the look of with Model in a Bottle which make the makeup last for a VERYY long time 🙂
it also depends on ur budget for makeup..how much u want to pay for trials..and how much for the big day 🙂 i hope u find ur answer soon 🙂
also keep blotting paper in hand for both u and ur groom 😉

It really all depends on the application. If the make-up artist is good you cant tell the difference. Ask to look @ their port & see their work for yourself. Beware of MUAs who dont have a port, won’t show you their work, or their work seems photoshopped.
