I had my make-up airbrushed for my wedding and really liked it. It felt very light and had good staying power. I’ve never tried out an at home system though.

@MrsUPS:  DO NOT buy the systems you see advertised on TV, the “luminess air” and then there is one other…they absolutely suck and try to scam you out of your money. My mom had a BAD experience with them…look up other’s reviews also. If you are going to invest in an airbrush system do it the right way and buy a professional one.

@MrsUPS:  I actually have the Luminesse Air Pro and also the tanning upgrade for it and I really like it. It is easy to use and the results look great.

The one thing I will say about that company is they try to sign you up for their autoship for the makeup though and I had to call twice to cancel but the system itself, love it.

@MrsUPS:  Almost every non-biased review I have seen about them has been about the same as my mom’s. They try to scam you, charge your card without you knowing, and if it breaks (which it will) they will say it’s your fault. I honestly think you can achieve the airbrushed look with the right foundation and brush combination.

@Merinda1994:  do you have any  recommendations for brushes and foundation?:) I was looking at the at home systems as well for mincer events/ going out but have also only read bad reviews. ive gone to sephora many times and they never can color match me correctly and my makeup always looks worse than when I walk in so I’ve stopped trusting their artists’ advice

I’ve never had my makeup airbrushed, but I’m going to for the wedding. I think a lot of those less expensive airbrush kits probably aren’t worth the money.

@Allyg:  For an airbrush effect I reccomend Makeup Forever HD foundation, they have about 40 shades so you should find your perfect match! I like to buy the lightest color I ever am and the darkest I ever am and I mix them to create my perfect shade. There are other foundations that work well too, but for a wedding or special event with photography I really like this one because it is made to appear airbrushed and flawless in film and in person. If you are on a budget and looking for a cheaper alternative Revlon’s photoready foundation is really nice too.

For brushes I would use either sephora’s duo fiber stippling brush, or a type of buffing brush (real techniques makes one, sigma, sephora, etc). What kind of brush you use REALLY makes the biggest differance with foundation application and finish.

Good luck!

Buy a beauty blender, it’s $20 but i promise you it’s worth it. Your make up looks airbrushed with it, not cakey at all. I don’t even use make up brushes anymore, I use the beauty blender to apply everything. You can watch YouTube videos on how to use it. You can buy it from sephora, ulta or other beauty stores online. This is what it looks like:

@Merinda1994:  I LOVE Makeup Forever HD! I wore that at my wedding. This was before I had the airbrush system and my MUA did not do airbrush. REALLY love it.

@MissAly:  I have this too! LOVE IT! Blends great.

I don’t always use my airbrush. It’s kind of a pain. In the winter I mostly don’t. I find it works better when I have a tan, and I have the HPLV spray tan gun and tent, etc. so when I use that, I airbrush my face too as you can’t really get a good fine face mist going with the big gun.

@MissAly:  I just got the beauty blender a few days ago and I was SOOOO excited….and on me it really did not work that well. I thought maybe I was doing it wrong so I tried again and again and I still just did not love it. It did blend well and quickly but I feel it gives me a VERY light coverage, and I like my coverage lol. It works great for my undereye concealer though.
