Hey Bees! I have a small dilemma and I'm looking for some input so here goes....I am getting married at 6:30 in the evening in May! I really love the DIY pomanders for decor but I also love the ideas of lanterns with lighting or mason jars with flowers??? I'm so confused! During the wedding it will still be daylight so is the lighting in the lanterns just a waste? We will also be moving the chairs from the ceremony to poolside for the reception so the less decor the better? So there you go my Aisle Decor drama ;) lol Thank you for any assistance with this issue! Happy Planning! M

I think mason jars with flowers would be cute.  The lanterns would likely be hard to see at 6:30 even.  You could also do pomanders.

I think a little bit of aisle decor adds a nice touch...even easier if you hang the mason jars or pomanders from shepherds hooks, becuase then it doens't get in the way when yo'ure moving chairs.

I am in LOVE with pomanders, so that would be my vote!

We had mason jars with flowers for the ceremony and then I had those put on the tables at the reception and put lanterns on the hooks for the night.  We moved the hooks to the edge of the lake (natural boundary in the dark).  It might look really pretty around the pool.

Thanks ladies for all the ideas! They were all great I love your idea Snowflake about moving the jars to the reception and moving the hooks and using them as another light source? I'm between the pomanders and the mason jars for sure now....at least I've narrowed it down huh? lol Thanks again and as always, happy planning!

Could you float a flower in a mason jar -- and then switch out the bloom for a candle once it's dark out?  Just a thought!
