Lots of brides still use aisle runners. I know I did! You might be able to rent nice fabric ones, or buy them. I've seen brides DIY a monogram or design on them. Also Michael's, party stores, Oriental Trading Company and Save-On-Crafts.com are good places to look if you want to buy one. I bought a simple one from Save-On-Crafts and it worked well. Also, you can use double-sided tape to hold down the edges, or even line it with candle or some pretty things.
I'm using an aisle runner and I think a lot of brides do! All of the weddings I've been in (and thats A LOT!) and to have used aisle runners. And like MaisyMay said... some people do monograms and line it with pretty things. I am! Here are a few pics of what I'm doing and one of my DIY projects.
Oh yes, brides still use them! I was at a wedding last fall where they used one, and I have to say it adds a certain significance to the bride's entrance. The two ushers unrolled it just before the flower girl and bride entered. Make sure the church is OK with you using an aisle runner though; my church actually doesn't allow them for some reason.
Yes! Brides definitely still use them! ours were so cute, we got so many compliments!
absolutely! you can find some really pretty ones that are very affordable too!
Yes they are still used. There are many websites that have them for less than $30.

The church we are getting married at has awful tile that runs the length of the aisle (it's orange and brown 'checkered' style!!). So my question is are aisle runners something brides still use? I haven't seen any in pictures of many ceremonies; but I can't really imagine this floor in all our wedding ceremony pictures.
What are you thoughts?
