Maybe ribbon looping from chair to chair on the seats bordering the aisle? Your guests would have to enter each row from the far ends -- and not via the center aisle -- but it'd look so pretty!
thanks miss bruschetta =)! that would actually be really pretty and i was planning on incorporating ribbon wherever i could anyway!
Hmm aisle tiles? what are those? I am in the same boat as charmedbride, I am unsure of what to do...I am still debating an aisle runner though, just dont really know how they'll hold up etc etc
I am having an outside wedding too, on the grass, the coordinator told me aisle runner is not a good idea. I would say ribbon on the chairs like bruchetta said or maybe ribbon along the aisle on the floor.
I don't know how practical it would be, but if the wedding is in the evening, white lights would look really lovely.

We're having an outside ceremony and for practical reasons will not be having an aisle runner. I know most brides go the rose petal aisle lining route, but I'm hesitant b/c rose petals aren't just really my style. We're having shepherd hooks with some kind of adornment every other row or 2, but I think I would still like something more to make the aisle more defined :). Does anyone have suggestions of things they've seen or done/will be doing themselves? TIA!
