Initially I was set on instrumental, but I wasn't able to find anything I liked that wasn't overused. I eventually settled on Sarah Brightman's cover of "What a Wonderful World", which ironically I didn't really like as a cover before, but something about her ethereal voice just fit the image I had of me walking down the aisle. And it was perfect! :) So if you have the option of either, I would just listen to a bunch of songs and see if you can imagine yourself walking down the aisle to any of them!
I'm in the same predicament...I have a bunch of songs that I like both instrumental and with lyrics. I'm gonna plan on sitting with my fiance and ask him which songs he likes.
We're having a guitarist and a vocalist, elegant acustic'ish style. I am walking down the aisle to a Damien Rice song....thinking about it makes me emotional, I still have 7 months, haahaahaaaa
