FI and I are trying to decide where to go for our honeymoon. We’re going to be in Seattle after the wedding, so right now our top 2 contenders are a 7 day Alaskan cruise from the Port of Seattle or driving down to Yellowstone and Grand Teton for a week. Has anyone done either of these (for a honeymoon or just for a vacation)? I’ve never been on a cruise, so I’m not sure what to expect with that.

Yay for a fellow adventure honeymooner! (we stayed at the Rocky Mountain National Park for our minimoon, and will be trekking through Asia for our “real” honeymoon later this year 🙂 ).
My husband did an Alaska cruise with his dad, and thought it was really, really cool. If you do that, make sure to do cool excusions to get the most out of the experience! I also think that Yellowstone is stunning, so that’s a hard choice. I think it just comes down to how much driving you’d rather do vs being pampered on the ship?

I haven’t done any of those but i’d jump to get the chance to go to Yellowstone.

I vote for the Alaskan Cruise simply because I’m from Alaska and I still think it’s the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen.

DH and I did a 7-day Alaskan cruise from Seattle for our honeymoon this past July and it was AMAZING! I highly recommend it! We both love cruises and I think they’re great for honeymoons in particular because you don’t have to worry about planning, schedules, etc. You book one thing and everything is taken care of and covered for you (really nice when you’re also planning a wedding).
Alaska was simplely GORGEOUS. We went sea kayaking, salmon fishing (still have yummy Alaskan salmon in our freezer), and took a catamaran up really close to the glaciers. We were also supposed to go dog sledding but weather prevented us from being able to take the helicopter ride to the dog camp (so we went to the spa and got massages instead). PM me if you want more info on our trip but I very strongly vote Alaska! 🙂

I haven’t done an Alaskan cruise, but I went to Yellowstone with my family when I was a kid, and I still have some of the most amazing memories of that place. There are so many things to do, and the park is so large that you definitely won’t ge bored. I can’t wait to take my FH there, and eventually my kids.
