I would like to know too.  Maybe something even better than blurb or mypublisher.

I am planning on making our own albums with http://www.mypublisher.com. I made a baby photo book for my son and it came out great. I will probably make hardcover albums for the parents and the regular ones for other family members. The albums made by our photographer were outrageously expensive!! I am excited about getting to create these ourselves and really personalizing them to my liking.

Have you actually ordered an album from MyPublisher?  I ordered the Deluxe Hardcover version with the black leather for my engagement photos and I thought it was actually very nice.  I would think that it would definitely be better than the traditional album with the mat pages!

If you’re looking for a storybook like album, try Graphistudio.  http://www.graphistudio.com/en/index.html

When I looked into them several months back, I think they only work with photographers directly. They may work with graphic designers too, but I can’t remember.  If you like them, send them an email as they were pretty quick in responding.
