Will my evening reception be boring if I don't have alcohol ?  What kind of drink can we serve to make things just a little interesting ??

It depends on your crowd... you could do something budget-friendly and host only beer, wine, &/or a signature cocktail.  What kind of wedding theme or vibe are you going for?  A summer wedding might go nicely with pina coladas, strawberry daquiris, or maybe margaritas!

May I ask why you don't want to serve alcohol so we get a better idea?

I'm thinking I may go with the beer and wine idea , the only reason I considered not having alcohol at all is because my family is mostly conservative Christan's and they don't drink and myFI's family like to party a little to hard. So I considered just dropping the boozes.

I would at least have wine.

@Melp2017:  Oh, I see... well a classy compromise is to have a few bottles of wine at each table during dinner.  A bottle typically has 4 glasses in it, and I'd reccommend at least a red and a white.  It would be nice to have a drink with dinner, but it won't break your budget and you won't have to worry about the groomsmen doing kegstands!

It depends on your why. If the bride or groom were recovering alcoholics for example, I'd totally understand as a guest. If it's a religious thing, again I'd understand. If it's a budget thing... I'd really want the option of a cash bar :p

I think it's probably the best compromise to have at least beer and wine.  In my opinion, that's being a good host, and also if only your family doesn't drink, you should try to accomodate your future in-laws and the fact that they do drink.  Although I know that's hard to know if FI's family has a history if indulging a little bit too much
