I'd say beer and wine. I also think infused vodka wood be yummy like Lychee or ginger and provide an easy mixer like ginger ale or lemonaide to mix them with
Which Chinese restaurant are you having your wedding at? I had mine at Hei La Moon and they said that I can't bring hard liquor which was fine by me. We had beer, wine, and champagne. You should probably ask your parents if there's something specific they want. For example, at most Chinese weddings, I see a bottle of Hennessey on each table which I think is a complete waste. Most people don't drink it since it's more for show. Guests end up just bringing them home. You should ask your restaurant if hard liquor is allowed.
We are having Remy Martin or Hennessey at the non-americanized tables. Wine for our americanized tables. We are also having an open bar-Vodka, Rum, Gin, Whisky, etc. There will also be a beer cart full of Heinekin, Stella and root beer.
I always see cognac at Asian weddings and by the end of the night, the bottles are either empty or the guests take them home.
Ask your parents what alcohol their friends would enjoy. I know my parents requested unlimited alcohol for their guests.
Good luck.
In my family the weddings have gone from Cognac to Red Wine. :)
And the beer is usually Heineken or Tsingtao.
We'll be doing a personalized bottle of Riesling (my fave) and a bottle of Pinot Noir(FI's fave) on each table for the guest to take home along with wine being served during the wedding.
But we are not doing a traditional Chinese Banquet either...
What's with Hennessy at chinese banquets? I guess I don't "get" it. :)
OH MY LORD cognac is by far the only liquor I've ever seen my family drink at events. Hennessy, Courvessiier(sp?). My mom's trying to up-one the competition by having Remy Martin. I hate the taste of liquor but hey, Chinese people love it.

I'm having a traditional Chinese banquet and the restaurant will allow us bring our own alcohol. Only I don't know what type of alcohol to supply. What type of alcohol is usually served at a Chinese banquet? Beer, wine, and/or hard liquor?
