I know theres been a few posts on this but I wanted to see what you guys think of my dress! It was hard finding it. I always imagined wearing a really simple chiffon dress that was beachy and flowy and after trying on at leat 30 dresses this is the one that in my mind I couldn’t top so I chose this one! How do you guys like the sash? I told all the consultants I was looking for “flowy, outdoorsy, flowery” Since the ceremony is at a gardens. Do you guys like it? (The sash will not be like that in the back it will be a bow) Or do you think it looks better without the sash? Also, if anyone has the same dress or AA I’d like to see yours too : ) I’m kind of worried about chest, back and armpit fat hang over with the corset top :/ I don’t want to be trying to stand up super straight all day because of the back fat.
The one thing my FI told me was he wanted to be completely surprised by my dress but he hated mermaid style. (eek!) This is kind of mermaid : P, I have it at alterations and they are cutting off a little of the train because I didn’t want a bustle, and they are also supposed to take some of the poofiness out of the bottom so I’m hoping it turns out >_<
This is style 2397 AA

This is beyond beautiful and I wouldn’t consider this a ‘Mermaid’ dress either. I feel like mermaid is much more sinched at the knees.

OMG this dress is amazing! I actually really like it without the sash! But i think it looks great either way. I have fuchsia sash and a corset back…but i haven’t figured out what i’m gonna do with it yet, because i don’t want a bow but love the pop of color. haha

A fuschia sash sounds gorgeous! If you don’t want a bow the alterations lady made that “square knot” in the back, or you could get the fuschia sash sewn into the waist so that you wouldn’t need a bow in the back 🙂

I’m not even really a sash person but I kept trying on dress after dress not liking them, and I tried this one on and liked it- but I decided it was the one I want to buy when I put the sash on it. I guess I’m being wishy washy about the sash now. lol.

NO sash, not at all, not in any color. Here’s why:
Your dress already has back interest, in what I call the Little Bo Peep crisscross straps. Additionally, those straps hanging down destroy the magic of those little flowers. Even if you bowtie the straps, you then get with the eye travelling down:
1. Bo Peep crisscross ties;
2. then down to the big bowtie
3. then the flowers.
= Eyeball Chaos!
You know what you need here? You need a flower brooch pinned at the OPPOSITE HIP of the breast that got “flowered”. So, that would mean a brooch pinned on YOUR left.
Or, just leave it alone and as is. But definitely not the sashes.
