This is beyond beautiful and I wouldn’t consider this a ‘Mermaid’ dress either. I feel like mermaid is much more sinched at the knees.

OMG this dress is amazing!  I actually really like it without the sash! But i think it looks great either way.  I have fuchsia sash and a corset back…but i haven’t figured out what i’m gonna do with it yet, because i don’t want a bow but love the pop of color. haha

What a beautiful dress! I think it’s pretty either way, but that sash is gorgeous!

NO sash, not at all, not in any color.  Here’s why:

Your dress already has back interest, in what I call the Little Bo Peep crisscross straps.  Additionally, those straps hanging down destroy the magic of those little flowers.  Even if you bowtie the straps, you then get with the eye travelling down:

1.  Bo Peep crisscross ties;

2.  then down to the big bowtie

3.  then the flowers.

You know what you need here?  You need a flower brooch pinned at the OPPOSITE HIP of the breast that got “flowered”.  So, that would mean a brooch pinned on YOUR left.

Or, just leave it alone and as is.  But definitely not the sashes.
