Just wondering if anyone has experience with ordering an Alfred Angelo wedding dress through a bridal salon and not an Alfred Angelo store? How long did your delivery take? The store I used was one of their Platnium retail partners and I was told it usually takes around 3 months to get a dress shipped. I ordered my dress exactly 4 months ago and the store told me this week “they are having some trouble getting ahold of the factory for a delivery date”. They also told me they’ve never missed a wedding and this happens with the factories all the time. When I ordered the dress, my consultant wasn’t worried about paying a rush but I’m surprised it’s taking so long considering friends of mine have ordered AA dresses in the past and they didn’t wait so long.
Our wedding is beginning of June and I have an alterations appointment mid-April so I guess I’m just getting really anxious. My family keeps telling me it will be in soon and to stop worrying but it’s driving me nuts. Thoughts? Am I being crazy? Haha

I don’t have experience with Alfred Angelo, but I don’t think you’re crazy to be wondering why your dress hasn’t arrived a month after the estimated delivery date. The store’s response could be legit or they could be giving you the run-around. I would call them twice a week to follow up until they give you the delivery date. You could also try contacting Alfred Angelo yourself as a last resort. Try not to worry!

My cousin order Alfred Angelo and it took 6 months for her wedding dress to come in and 8 months for bridesmaid dresses. They had problems too trying to figure out the delivery date, my dress came in a week before my cousins wedding and needed so many alterations it was a disaster

I ordered FROM Alfred Angelo and it took about a month longer than they quoted me.
My sister ordered her BM dress from a non-AA shop and got it within 8 weeks, right on schedule.

alleycat1984: Wow, that’s unreal. I’ve never heard of anyone’s AA estimate being 6-8 months. Yikes.

asbtoabs: Thanks, my mom has been following up with them because I’m admittedly a bit stressed out and I’m afraid I’ll get upset on the phone with the shop. The good news is the dress I ordered really only needs to be hemmed as it’s a lace up back and the lady that’s altering it said she could do it in about a week. Ugh, I just wish it would come in! I had no idea this part of the wedding would be the most stressful.
