Ok so Im sure everyone has heard what is going on with Alfred Angelo by now.
Heres my situation – 3 of my bridesmaids received their dresses. Another bridesmaid received hers but it was being altered in the store and is now locked in the store and she is unable to get it. The final bridesmaid ordered from a third party store and it was set to arrive on 8/6. I am currently 6 weeks away from my wedding and I have no idea whether I should get two totally different style dresses, wait it out or what. I will be buying the second dress since they already payed in full for the first dress and I don’t want to spend unnecessary money if they do end up getting their dresses. What do I do?????

BostonBride0917 : I heard David’s Bridal is offering big discounts to AA customers that are stuck like you are so long as they have a valid receipt.
Good luck! Remember that mismatched bridesmaids dresses are all the rage and this is just a small blip in the big picture.

Take those two BMs to David’s Bridal (as much as I HATE DB- they are quick and have a wide variety of colors and inexpensive) pick out a dress in a coordinating style and color that is in stock. I’d rather be safe than sorry!

Alfred Angelo posted this statement on their website:
“Alfred Angelo filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on July 14, 2017. As a result, all stores and wholesalers are closed. Margaret Smith was appointed Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee. If you wish to be contacted regarding your order status once information is available please send an email to: [email protected]. We will post additional information regarding the status of dresses on this web-site as it becomes available.
We apologize for the inconvenience and hardship resulting from this event. We appreciate your patience. Thank you.”
Not sure if this will be of any help, but maybe you and/or your BMs can send an email to that address to see what is going on with the dresses.
Good luck, I know this has been a nightmare for so many people. I’m sorry to hear you’ve been affected by it!

Getting 2 new dresses ($ and stress!) really sucks – but having 3 of one dress style, and 2 of another dress style will look really intentional and nicely coordinated in your photos if you line them up so the dresses are spaced out!
I wouldn’t wait on AA to make good… you never know how long that will take, better to get backup dresses now. You could look for off-the-rack at stores that will let you return, or look at rentals, on the off chance AA releases the dresses.
