I'm sorry you had such a bad experience! It sounds like part of it was also due to the bridal shop you got your dress from.
Good luck shopping today - I hope you find The Dress!! :-)
I'm SO sorry. That sounds like a nightmare, but I hope that you have LOTS of fun today shopping for a dress. I'll bet you find one better than that one. You deserve to have a great experience this time around. Good luck!!
Ahh I'm sorry you had that bad of a time. When I went there & ordered my dress it worked out for me.
Hopefully you can find a different one or go to a smaller bridal shop (not a major store) & by that dress there?
If you truly love your dress and the bridal shop ruined it, I would have them reorder it at a discount (for wasting your time having to drive back and forth to pick up the dress multiple times) AND with free rush shipping (seeing as you need it in 2 months and it's their fault you won't have it in time otherwise).
I wouldn't specifically blame this on Alfred Angelo... unless of course you purchased it at an Alfred Angelo store.
See what you can do about having it discounted/rush shipped. In the very least they should rush ship for free - that would get it to you in about 6-8 weeks. And then I'd probably take it to a different tailor for alterations - I don't think I'd risk leaving it there overnight again! Good luck!
Ugh, don't get me started on them! I ordered my dress in July and they decided to buy out a smaller shop in August. The closed down their original location and started remodeling the new shop they got. I don't mean small stuff either, I mean painting, removing sheetrock, and re-doing ceilings. The new place was practically a contruction site with dust and working men and tools on the floor. It was BAD.
They called me in early September to tell me my dress was ready. I went to pick it up and my first unpleasant surprice was that I had to wait at the front counter for about 10 minutes. I had to try on my dress with all that mess they had going on. When I saw the seamstress she said my dress had gotten really dirty from walking around all that rubble. I complained to their manager and she said there was nothing that could be done since the decision to move and work out of the un-renovated store wasn't made by them.
All in all, if I ever meet another bride I'll tell her to run the other way if she mentions Alfred Angelo! Such a dissappointment in service since I really do love their dresses ;/
I'm sorry you had such bad experiences with them. I got my dress at Alfred Angelo in Allentown, PA and I had a wonderful experience. It may just be the people who work at your specific store that made your experience horrible.
Wow - that's too bad...hope you find a beautiful new dress today! Good luck!
I am sorry that sounds like a nightmare!
Good luck with dress shopping and let us know what you find!
That's absolutely terrible! I had a great experience at Alfred Angelo, so I'm REALLY sorry yours went so horribly! Good luck finding something amazing. I'm sure you will.
Wow did you go to the one in Boynton? Yeah I ordered my dress from them and they said it would take 3 months or so. I live in SC but would be coming back for Christmas in Dec so I asked if they would hold it until I came down. They said sure. Well my dress came in 3 days later! So then they said they wouldn't hold it and I needed to pay to ship it! Ummm no. So they shipped it to me for free and when it got here there was a pen gash across it on the top. I was like you've got to be kidding me. So they paid for return shipping and it got sent back to them and they got the stain out and then shipped it back again and thankfully everything looked OK. But I would NEVER recommend anyone shopping there! I don't 100% know, but I think that I happened to order a dress that someone else returned/didn't want. I don't really know though. I mean it looks brand new but it was still a HORRIBLE experience so I totally understand!!

Ok, I'm new here but I really needed to vent about Alfred Angelo. After waiting 5 months for my wedding dress they completely ruined my dress! I attempted to pick the dress up 4 times, but each time something was wrong with the dress (beads falling off, dirt marks, stain, something!)... the other night when I went to pick it up, there was a tiny spot on the dress and I didn't want to take it home unless it was perfect. The manager said she can remove the spot... well, 30 minutes later they told me we had to come back the next day because the dress needed to dry off... I gave the manager my complaint about having to come back tomorrow, and she said she would personally drive it up to me if she had to...
The next day, nobody called me! Which has gotten to be the norm with Alfred Angelo, they never call or follow up on their customers! So I just showed up to pick up my dress, hoping it was perfect. Well, the assistant manager came out with my dress and told me the dress was completely ruined. The manager who tried to take the stain off made it 10 times worse! And that manager didn't even have the decency to call me to tell me herself! I cried at the counter and demanded my money back. Fortunately I did get my money back, but now I only have 4 months until my wedding... and realistically only two months to receive the dress to have enough time for any alterations =(
The worst part, it was the dress of my dreams! And when I called Alfred Angelo to see what they could do to compensate me, they said they can reorder the dress and give me a discount on the accessories... nice!
So the moral of the story... Don't go to Alfred Angelo! They have terrible customer service and they simply do not care about you! I'm sticking to smaller boutiques with people that really take care of you...
Today, I'm shopping for my wedding dress =)
