i would use the original artwork from the book... nothing from the movies or disney... even though i have a deep attachment to any and everything tim burton... put mirrors everywhere (through the looking glass).... maybe call it a "very merry unbridal shower"
Make sure you have a tea party! Maybe have candy made that says "Eat me" and put drink tags on the tea that says "Drink me."

I love this idea and even mentioned it my sister for my birdal shower too. There's a link I saw from "hostess with the mostess," and it's like a tea party/graden theme. It's beautiful, that's my inspiration. Here's a pic:
My bridal shower will be an Alice in Wonderland theme! We're doing all different mis-matched plates, cups, silverware, etc. We're also doing the bright fun colors as well!!
You could maybe do oversized things like oversized flowers, lots of tea pots and tea cups. I also vote for the "Drink Me" and "Eat Me" sayings from the movie :]
I'm doing cupcakes with "Eat Me" on them!
ooohhh i am really liking these ideas.
i was totally thinking of sticking with the classic images from the book, especially for the invitations and i love the idea of calling it "a very merry unbridal shower!"

I'd totally do loose leaf tea favours and give everyone a little bag so they can mix their own tea :) I saw it on a blog once but I'll be darned if I can remember where from!
"Eat Me" and "Drink Me" would be a must. I also saw little truffle trees on a baking blog today that would be so cute if you could make the truffles to look like roses and do white and red roses.
Maybe Johnny Deep jumping out of the birthday cake/shower cake only wearing his Mad Hatta hat? Maybe? Yes?!?
@MsSassy what a great idea, if only it could happen! But the Johnny Depp on the GQ cover, not the one in the movie, he's scary there.
