    Hello Ladies,

Although I've already begun my weight loss/ body toning process I figured I'd set up a feed for all of us July 2012ers to cheer eachother on and give support.

Keeping active and getting the wedding-day-body that you want takes a lot of time and effort and can get discouraging at times.

I don't expect everyone to share the nitty gritty, but I figure it will be a great place to keep track of success.

My FI has told me that if i meet my goal (whenever it may be) he will take me shopping for a brand new outfit... and something new for the bedroom!

Right now, im 5'8" and at 150, which is my biggest. I'm hoping to get back down into the 130s come wedding time. Although 130 is my ultimate goal, I'd be happy to break the 30s barrier!

C'mon ladies lets get to it!! Toned arms, sexy abs and tight buns!!

@blondie_bride: Im 5'5 and anywhere between 143-150..on my wedding day Id be happy being around 135-140 which would make me a size 3-5 (8-10) in wedding dresses. My body adds muscle like no other and I need to get back on the toning bandwagon. Ill keep yall updated :)

For brides with smart phones, I am using an awesome free app called "Calorie Counter" which calculates your recommended calorie intake and you add what you eat during the day! I'd give it a five star rating for keeping me and FI on track of what we are actually eating.

I don't really need to lose weight but I am focusing on staying trim, and keeping healthy. I plan on re-beginning my yoga routine (it's been a few weeks, so busy!). Let's keep each other cheery and motivated!

I'M IN!!!! Will it be on this thread, or are you starting a new thread?  Either way, I will be looking for it!

I got to my heaviest not too long ago -- 5'11 and 181.  I have been working out a lot and eating better, and am now down to 174, but the difference is larger than most of my weight loss attempts, as my arms, belly, legs, and hips are all getting smaller, and my muscles are getting bigger.  Right now I'm switching my focus to a little more cardio (will still keep up with weights but was hitting them HARD before), and have tweaked my diet a little for more weight loss (only one to too sugar treats and  one cheat meal per week).  I am feeling the weight come off a little faster as I have gotten more into my program.

    Heaviest weight: 181

    Current weight: 174

Weight goal number 1: 175 (DONE- Sept 19th)- buy new cute dress!

Weight goal number 2: 170 (hair done)

Weight goal number 3: 165 (new workout clothes)

    So on and so forth...........

    Final weight goal: 150

Count me in ladies.  I am (gulp, can't believe I am putting this on the internet!) 5'2 and about 150lbs, would ideally like to be closer to 115-120/lbs.  I was about 115 when I met my fiance 5 years ago and I would like to be back to a healthier weight for my size/stature by the wedding.

I have been trying to run about 2.5mi after work a few times a week when my schedule permits, and also running with co-workers T/Th at lunch about the same distance but at a slightly slower pace.  I need to start adding weights/body weight excerises to my routine more often.  And I am going to try to get back into swimming when I have the time.

Can't wait to hear about your progess and encourage each other!

More smartphone fitness app suggestions (I work in mobile apps for WP and own an Android)...  Good apps for Android - Cardio Trainer, Noom, and MyFitnessPal  Good apps for Window Phone - Life Tracker and Fitness Trainer.  Sorry iPhone bees I am not familar with that platform!

@kcoconut I love your reward system!

I'm in! I'm 5'10 and 165.7 pounds. I was at 180 in february, which was my heaviest ever. I want to go back down to 125, which was my weight before moving to the US a year ago. So a loooong way to go!

I'm in too! I'm currently 5'4" and 125lbs. I have a very small frame so every pound shows. Mostly I need to really tone up. Everything on me jiggles and I've recently noticed that I have horrible overhanging, armpit fat so that has to go!

    Good luck everyone!

I will bite!  I am 5'6 and weigh 124.  I have been working on losing weight since January.  I have lost 21 pounds, and I am 4 pounds away from my goal!  For my wedding, I mostly want to tone up and not gain anymore weight unless it is from muscle.

I'm a June 30th girl (almost July) - can I join in too??

I've already started loosing and hit 10lbs lost today! YAY :)  I'm hoping to loose another 30 before the wedding then I'll evaluate and see if I want to keep loosing or I'm happy where I'm at.

I'm short (just over 5'0) - so every pound really shows. I've always been curvy, so I don't expect that to change.

I use myfitnesspal.com to track all my food and exercise. If anyone else is using it and wants to be friends over there, just send me a message and I'll give you my screen name. I also swear by my heartrate monitor as I really know how many calories I burn when I workout.

    Good luck to everyone!

I am in! I don't have too many girly friend since moving for my fiance's job which equals zero support!

I am at my heaviest after the loss of my best friend earlier this year and am fine with how I look (we joke that I have "Mad Men secretary curves now!) but due to the nature of the weight I gained I don't want the visual reminder on my wedding day.

After procrastinating and using Colorado altitude as an excuse not to workout I'm trying to ease into a workout routine again!

so excited that this is getting going! I've been doing early morning biking for 20 minutes, then in the afternoon i hit the gym for about an hour and a half, 45 minutes of cardio on the ARC Trainer- my SAVIOR, and then free weights and abs.

When I dont make it to the gym, I've been doing Wii Fit- AMAZING. So much fun and an hour goes by so fast!

    Keep going ladies!!!

Alright I am on board! I am 5'4 and weight 125. I'm not really trying to lose weight, over the past year or so I've already lost 35 lbs by not really doing anything but changing portion sizes. I'm just looking to tone my arms & back for the big day (& probably the tummy for the honeymoon lol). My problem is I have trouble getting motivated and look forawrd to reading about how everyone else stays motivated and what works for you all!

I'm sure you all are looking beautiful & good luck! :)

I just saw this post but I have been really trying to get myself motivated towards kickstarting my exercise.

I'm 5'9" and currently weight right below 140 (usually 139)

Where I have felt my most comfortable is 125, but truthfully I would be happy with 130.

I have not started trying to shape up yet, but I want to be tight and toned on my day, so lets do it bees!

Okay so weighed in 123, which is big for me because I haven't had time to do anything so I'm sure it's just a matter of water weight coming and disappearing. But now that I have offically graduated school, I can focus on toning and all things wedding. And to help me out, I've applied at gyms for jobs while my teaching certification goes through so that should add some motivation if I can get one of those. Fingers crossed & good luck to all the other bees (especially with the holidays). :)

How do you all plan on keeping on track over the holidays?

Can I join this thread? I am 5'5" and at 160(ish)lbs. I feel great at 145 and feel amazing at 140. My goal right now is to get to 145 before March 31 (15lbs and three and a half months seems do-able!).

I'm doing p90x starting on Wednesday and before Christmas I lost 3lbs in a month just using sparkpeople.com to track my diet and eat healthy.

    Good luck everyone!

Now that the new year has begun I'm starting a new healthy food regimen starting monday (only because I'm in the middle of a move and won't be settled in til Sunday), consisting of many small meals a day.  Here's hoping! I have 15 pounds to go, and it seems ridiculously hard to lose any of it!

I'm struggling.  I have certainly been eating better (smaller portions and healthier foods), but I've also changed my lifestyle from working full time in a physical job to going back to school for a semester, so I don't feel like I've really helped my situation at all.

I am a July bride! I'm 5'2 and currently at 127 lbs- Goal is to get down to at least 115, ideally a little less.  I've lost 6 lbs so far by calorie counting (I use the myfitness pal app), but I would like to start cardio/toning.  My problem is getting the motivation, with work and a 3 year old there just never seems to be enough time in a day!

Ive lost 45 pounds in the last year due to medical changes in my life so I would probably have to try for the last 5-10 but I think really cardio strength and stretching is what I need to focus on. Really hard without the support Im use to the Running Room kicking my butt since I trained coached and worked there. I work one 15 hour shift a week so when Im there I try to do some physically demanding work (putting up fencing on a ski hill is much harder than youd expect).

So I have a goal of getting down 25 lbs since January. I am not seeing the scale move (beginning to think that the scale might be broken) cause I've dropped a pant size already - my goal is to get down to a size 7. To fit in my wedding dress I had to drop 20 pounds to get in the size dress that I ordered. I admit I have at least another 10 likely to lose, but we'll see my first dress fitting is Friday... EEEEEEE... but we are also trying to fix my medication (I have really severe thyroid deficiency that has caused me to gain quite a bit of weight over the last year.)

I haven't really lost any weight, I've been bouncing between 122 & 124 for the past couple of months but I've been weight lifting 5-6 days a week with some light cardio 1-2x a week. My body shape has changed though, my shoulders and arms are more toned and my posture has improved greatly, I feel like my abs are flatter even though I don't have a 6 pack (but I haven't really been trying for one), and finally my legs are more toned, I have a little bit of a butt and teh front of my thighs is flatter. I'm very much comfortable with the way that I look currently, and it's easily maintainable which I need with my dress fitting in 2 1/2 weeks.

Hope everyone else's fitness journey is going well. Remember it's not about the weight on the scale, one of my clients, lost 11 pounds of fat and gained 11 pounds of muscle, her weight hasn't changed but her body looks completely different so keep that in mind when you are busting your butt and the number isn't changing. :)

69 days until my wedding!  ...and I have just started thinking about toning up.  I am 5'4" and weigh 120, so I am not looking to lose any weight, but just get some more muscle definition.  Do you think it's too late to start?  When did you all start seeing results???

@caroline5:  its NEVER too late to start. especially since you're more focused on toning! I would suggest a cleaner diet and skip on the grainy/starchy carbs at dinner! Def use the weights and do HIGH reps, low weight-- that will get you toned up and where you want to be!

good luck- im on  a new routine and it is working wonders =) can't wait to step on the scale and see how i'm doing!

I'd also suggest taking a measuring tape and using that instead of a scale-- you'd be surprised at how many inches you'll lose without much budging on the scale!

@caroline5:  I have had good success in the past with interval training in the morning before breakfast, a few days per week.  With some weight lifting in the evening a couple nights a week.  Your body burns 300% more body fat in the morning before breakfast than it does any other time of day.  Less bodyfat means the better you can see your muscle tone.  ;)
