Is anyone else all about the details and not the big stuff? Currently obsessed with the following DIY projects: monogramed program labels/covers, pearl headpiece, flowergirl headband, veil, tissue packets, and card box. What are you guys obsessed with right now? Any hints you have for me about the projects I’m working on?

I obsess about some small stuff… like my DIY invites/rsvps/stds and all that other stuff that involves paper!
Hint: If you have not yet made your monogram you should make it in a pic. program, crop it, and then just add it where you need it by inserting the jpeg. That is what I did and it was soo much easier than when I tried making it right on the invite. I just added it and sized it to the invite.

I made my “label” for my program in publisher and am printing 6 to a page then putting that on top of an orange rectange on top of our charcoal programs….
anyone who has made a cardbox before? I def know I do not want it to look like a gift……

I think the little details are the best. Its what the perseptive people notice thus knowing how much thought and creativity you put into your special day. I haven’t actually done any of the DIY stuff but I can’t wait! I’m hoping to channel Martha Stewarts talent (not so much her personality lol).

YES! It’s the little things that are killing me. Someone said that to me today – “well, if you’ve got the big details taken care of, relax – the rest is gravy”. I was like, are you kidding!?!?!
To me, the little details make the wedding. And I don’t have much control over the larger details, so it’s the little one’s that have our personality, our involvement. That means a lot to me, and therefore I want them to be great. Of course, I’m stressing myself to pieces about it all!
I made my cardbox out of two hatboxes that were rather large, with black and white damask pattern, that I got at Hobby Lobby. I trimmed them with black grosgrain ribbon attached with a hot glue gun and an initial of our last name also purchased at Hobby Lobby. It was honestly one of the easiest projects I’ve tackled, after I had the supplies in hand.

@laylabelle I know! People keep saying the same thing to me. All I can think is, “I still have to make this, and design that…..” Most of my wedding is the traditional things my family wants. I view my DIY projects as items I can do to not only save money but also put in some personality 😀
