So we had four vendors to cancel in order to move ahead on our smaller wedding. I knew it was going to be hard but it’s been much harder than I thought. We found wonderful people to work with an it’s hard to leave them behind because of uncontrollable financial reasons. I just needed to type this out because I’m getting emotional with each email sent (if anyone needs a dj, officiant, venue, or photographer in South Carolina January 22, I know of some that are available now).

So sorry to hear about this. You can still have a beautiful day on a small budget.

I know, and I actually think it’ll probably be more beautiful, meaningful, and intimate. I just never thought it’d be this hard to cancel a wedding you’ve worked on for a year. I actually had my mom cancel the last vendor (the venue) because she had questions anyway and after three cancellations, I was just tired of doing it (even though that isn’t as many as it could have been).

It’s tough, I know. Just remember they won’t have the same emotional commitment you do. You did the right thing. They have ample time to re-book. You are giving them referrals. You can always re-book them in the future for something else. This situation was beyond your control, and they will understand.
Everything will feel better in a couple of days. I promise
