Anyone have any advice on how to pick a dress for bridesmaids of all different shapes, sizes, and skin color??
A lot of people have told me to just pick different dresses but I dont know..I don’t like the idea of really having all those different dresses. I like it when the bridesmaids look the same..dress wise anyway.
My colors are like a Mahogany/Golden (almost like champagne/gold mix).. so I think the mahogany color will look good on them..its just the dress that is the tough part!

My bridesmaids were all different sizes and ages and I was worried about this but we all went dress shopping together and let them know that I was open to them picking out whatever dress they wanted. They all agreed on the same one! Just be open and see what happens, they could surprise you!

I know you’re not sold on the different dresses so maybe something like a convertible dress work? It’s technically the same dress just worn in a different way:
Other than that, my only suggestion is to round them all up and have them start trying things on. Hopefully you can find something that they all like! Good luck!

@cubarican17: you could always pick a designer, color, length and fabric and have them get different dresses. My girls will be wearing either a 1 shoulder dress or a strapless.

I have 10 bridesmaids that are all different sizes, shapes and skin tones. I am choosing a designer, color, and fabric and letting each girl choose what looks best on them.

Ditto to what PP said. My girls are even all relatively small, but all people have very different body types, no matter what size, so I didn’t want to put them all in the same dress! I only have 3 girls, they’re wearing the same designer, color, fabric, length, but they all have different styles to accomodate their bodies (two straps for well endowed girl, one for one who doesn’t need bra, etc)

I seriously hate seeing all the girls in the same dress when it doesnt fit them all the same. Some have bigger chests, some bigger bottoms. To me the dress always looks “better” on one of the girls and everyone else is compared to that one girl. I really hate that.
all my girls are different body shapes. They are going to pick dresses from the same maker, all in the same fabric, color and length. They can pick whatever style they want after that.

My girls are all different sizes, short and plump, tall and thin and average height and plus sized.I spoke to the wedding dress boutique owner where I will be getting my dress, she advised on getting them to pick a dress they liked and felt comfortable in as long as they were all the same fabric and color. Lucky two of my girls can have the same dress and my oldest BM is having a longer dress so not so bad.
