@KL:me and my fiance went to negril jamaica 2 years ago and stayed at couples negril...i cant say enough good things about the resort!! we go somewhere warm every year and always stay at an AI resort and none of them have compared to couples. Its a couples/adults only which is very nice as well...tripadvisor has lots of reviews!!! good luck :)
Set aside time to read reviews of various resorts because you'll get a good feel for the resort as a whole. We went to Sandal's Grande Riveria in Ocho Rios about a year and a half ago and LOVED it, they just did an update so it's even better now! We are going to Sandal's La Toc in St. Lucia for our June honeymoon. We love Sandals now!! As a tip if you go with Sandals... the website always has deals anywhere from 55%-65% off, it's not necessarily a deal, it's just their normal price. So if you log onto the site and see the ticker counting down the final day of the sale, don't worry about it... it'll be back!!
That is where I am going on my honeymoon. We read all the reviews looked at so many different places and decided on there. My cousin actually just got back from there for her honeymoon two weeks ago, I didnt even know she was going she said she loved it it was gorgeous she said the food was not as good as some other resorts but some of the restaurants were really good while some were just ok. But everything else seemed amazing.,. we cant wait.. We got an unbeatable deal through cheapcarribean.com I can give you the info on the agent we used through them. I normally book directly through the resort when I travel becausw you tend to get better deals but in this case we got the same price for the resort and airfair from Philadelphia for booking through cheapcarribean however we are traveling March 2012 so could be totlaly different for your time.
I'm also doing Sandals in St. Lucia. I've never been to a resort in Jamaica, but I do think an all-inclusive resort on any island would probably be a great vacation.
if you are headed to jamaica i would HIGHLY suggest a couples resort! we stayed at Couples Swept Away in Negril and it was amazing! feel free to PM me and i can tell you all about it!
We ended up staying at Secrets Maroma Beach in MX but we were TORN between that and Couples Swept Away in Negril. That's where I'd want to go on an anniversary trip for sure! I did a ton of research on CSA and thought it looked BEAUTIFUL!
We are going to MoBay and we're SO excited. I have found GREAT info on the Sandals Montego Bay group on facebook... you have to send a request to join but VERY worth it. So much great advice .....
Oops I thought you said sandals. Duh. You said secrets... I've heard many wonderful things about secrets as well!

My future hubby's parents are giving us a honeymoon for our wedding! We are really interested in Jamaica and are looking at Secrets Montego Bay. Does anyone have any reviews or suggestions? Thanks a bunch :)
