It all depends on what you’re looking for and where. Mexico, Jamaica and Domincan are probably going to be the easiest and most common for all inclusive especially in that budget. For that budget if you want to stay at a fancier all inclusive for that honeymoon feel, you may get away with 5 days only. I have done standard all incl vacations in Cancun and Dominican in feb for under $1500 each.. And my FI and are have our honeymoon booked for 10 days staying at the hard rock cancun in a suite for around 6k. We definitely wanted something we normally wouldn’t do/afford for our honeymoon. We go away yearly in feb and try to stay under $1500 each but for our honeymoon this gave us a gorgeous room and package with some special honeymoon treats. My suggestion would be to look on travel sites that build all inclusive packages combined with trip advisor.

Mexico (Riviera Maya/Playa del Carmen or Puerto Vallarta; avoid Cancun) and DR are probably your best bet for AI under 3k. I’ve had great experience with Secrets and Excellence Resorts. Everyone gets the same level of service no matter which room you’re in so I usually book the cheapest room to get the most value. Their service was fantastic and they are Adults only.

Check out cheapcaribbean.com for Flight+hotel packages. We’ve used them many times and gotten amazing deals. Your budget is not bad at all. Depending on when you go, you should be able to do 5-7nights at a nice AI + flights for under 3k.

Where are you flying from? That makes a big difference hahaah. FI and I have been to Cuba, Dominican and Jamaica. Jamaica was probably my favorite. Although rather expensive. I think Dominican was an a good equilibrium between cost and value. I haven’t been to Mexico, waiting until a friend of ours has a condo built in the Mayan riviera. but I dknt think it’a very safe, compared to other Caribbean countries. The quality of food is poor in cuba, however the service is much much better. All depends on what you’re looking for specifically I guess.

Mrs-mcm-0507:  Just wanted to point out that the touristy places in Mexico are perfctly fine and completely insulated from parts of Mexico that has drug/gang related violence. I highly doubt there’s an all inclusive resort in middle of Juarez. Cancun, Playa del Carmen and many other places’ economy depends on tourism, they make sure it’s safe. Please don’t spread misinformation about a place you’ve never been to. (Sorry about the rant, I have Mexican relatives and it’s upsetting to hear people write off an whole country because of what’s happening in some other parts of it.)

One of the most popular and cost effective honeymoon destination is Mexico, specifically Riviera Maya (which is beautiful!). There are some amazing resorts in Riviera Maya, many that cater to honeymoon couples offering wonderful amenities to make your honeymoon extra special. If you are looking to keep your budget in check consider spending 5 days at an amazing resort instead of 7 at an okay resort. If you are willing to look at family friendly resorts look to the ones that have a dedicated adults only section, this will get you a quieter section at the hotel and possibly an adults only restaurant to dine in. There are many ways to save money without out sacrificing quality and experience.
