I don’t know prices, but my dh went (yes, he went by himself when he was recently divorced) to Jalousie Plantation in St. Lucia.  It’s gorgeous!  Awesome food, beautiful accomodations, and best beach there.

He got there via helicopter too.  Just went away for r n r and loved it!  I hope we’ll go there for an anniversary.  We’ve talked about it.

Have you looked at Secrets or Dream resorts?  I went to a Secrets resort and I was very happy with our trip.

@bikinihoneymoon:  We are going there too!!!  It’s a great price.

@Aimee_Surprenant: We booked through a travel agent but you might be able to find a deal on allinclusiveoutlet.com.  I’ve booked other all-inclusive resorts through that site and, in my experience, they have the best prices.

we are wedding twins 🙂 we wanted a tropical all inclusive honeymoon and i am always looking for a deal so i am really happy with our trip we booked.

we are going to secrets maroma beach for almost 2 weeks for $4800 (flight, transportation, hotel, and of course food and drink). we even upgraded to the swim out suite. so if you were looking for week long i’d say it would be safe to cut it that price in half.

We went to Couples Sans Souci in Ocho Rios, Jamaica – it was about $2500 for 7days/nights including airfare – it was beautiful!

We booked through Cheap Caribbean

@Aimee_Surprenant: We booked through a travel agent we found on tripology. We are actually doing the “El Dorado Steal” which means we won’t know which of the resorts we’re staying at until 2 weeks before we go (for some reason that makes me even more excited!!!). It is the cheapest of all the options, and we will probably just end up at their biggest property (El Dorado Royale). PM me if you want our travel agent’s contact info.

@meladoug: Yaaayyyy!!!!!! I’m so excited!! I know a bee went there recently (maybe Octopus?) and I am waiting for her recaps.

We are looking into honeymoon places as well. My travel agent is recommending the secrets wild orchid in Jamaica or maroma which is in mexico….she is also recommending a 5 star all inclusive called excellence. they are in mexico and Dominican republic.   We are still debating them but they all got great reviews and are all all-inclusive.

I like to use bookit.com.  Last year, we stayed at the Grand Sunset Princess in Riviera Maya, Mexico and booked through that site.  You might want to check out tripadvisor.com if you haven’t already.  It ranks resorts in a certain location based on user reviews.  Good luck! 🙂

We went to El Dorado Maroma, and it was the most amazing experience of my life. We booked through a travel agent (Nancy Finn from Island Getaways… you can google it for the website). She was fantastic- super quick to respond and handled booking everything for no cost. She answered all of our questions, and helped us narrow it down to resorts based on what our expectations were. She also emailed us a bunch of pictures that she had taken of the resorts that we were interested in. She was one of our top wedding vendors.
