If you’ve been on an all inclusive vacation, if you can recommend a place that would be great! DH and I are going to give it a try for the first time this year. We will probably be going in October or November. We want beach/pool/sun/relaxing! We don’t care to do any adventures or activities – that was for the honeymoon. This will purely for relaxation!
We’re open to going anywhere – Mexico, Bahamas, Cuba, etc. It’s just going to come down to price and what’s available.
So please tell me where you went and the name of the resort! I’d rather go somewhere I know will be a good experience.

My Fiance and I went to Sandals Grande Antigua in March and it was absolutely amazing! Its considered one of the most romantic places and the beach was amazing. The FOOD omg the FOOD Haha It had lots of great choices for food and every place on the resort that we ate at was awesome. It was funny because we werent used to the idea of being seated at a nice restaurant and then not having to pay afterward haha
The service was amazing as well. Every one who worked there made you feel special and were always willing to help you with anything you needed. We had a Rondoval Room on the Beach with a Butler and it was AWESOME. We were given a cell phone upon arrival that was direct to our Butler. Whether we were lounging at the awesome pool or on gorgeous beach, we could call him and he would bring us Lunch or drinks or whatever we wanted.
Our room was kept clean and FULLY stocked with booze and other non alcoholic drinks and the Room service food was sooo good as well.
We did a few excursions only because it was our first time but we are going back there again for sure and this time we are just going to lay around the pool and beach all day.
The beach was gorgeous and it was really awesome seeing the beautiful fully lighted ships dock at the dock yard or leave at night, especially if we were having a romantic dinner on the beach.
We have been to Cuba twice, to Breezes and it was also nice but this resort blew it right out of the water.
Here’s a few pics 🙂
The Beach when the sun was going to be going down
One of the views of the pool area and main hotel
This was the view from the patio area of our Butler Suit on the beach
Lol This is a Lamb dinner I had that was SOOO good haha
And I know you said you didnt want any adventures but I had to post this pic of the Nelsons Dock Yard, it was soo amazing and the only one thats fully working. This history of it is really neat and it was gorgeous.

We went to Garza Blanca in Puerto Vallarta, MX back in February and it was amaaaazingly relaxing. Our room was gorgeous and luxurious. The views were beautiful, there were 3 pools, two of which were right next to each other and right on the beach, and they were building a third tower with soon to be the largest rooftop pool in Mexico and a Japanese steakhouse. The construction noise didn’t bother us one bit. The food was delicious – an amazing steakhouse, a great breakfast buffet (that you could also do a menu option also for lunch), and a pool side bar that was open all day that had some really great food choices. The beach had sand that they brought in from somewhere else since PV’s natural sand is a bit rocky. It wasn’t a party-goer atmosphere which was perfect for DH and me. We were all about boozin and relaxin when we went there. We want to go back next year.

aka_nessa : That sounds amazing!! Wow. I can’t even imagine having a butler.
LiliKitty: I like that it wasn’t a party goer atmosphere – DH and I aren’t partiers.
Did you two book online or with a travel agent?

MrsCallalily: We booked online and it included our flights. Their website now does the same thing – Google Garza Blanca and it should be the first link. It was really affordable in my opinion.

- Wedding: February 2013 - Mansion House at the MD Zoo
MrsCallalily: We LOVED LOVED LOVED Excellence Playa Mujeres. Beautiful resort, delicious food and did not skimp on the booze. We were there last October and had a fantastic time. We booked through their website with no problems. We did not book any excursions and had plenty to do at the resort, although if/when we go back again we will probably book something just to break it up a bit. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Yea the Butler thing was totally not needed and the trip would have been great without it BUT after having one, it was totally worth it, especially if you are going to be lounging around all day at the pool and beach. You can just lay there and not get up and have everything brought to you LOL
