    Hi!

My fiance and I are getting married at a beautiful location.

The walls are dark, the floors are dark, but the sunlight is TREMENDOUS because of all of the windows.  I am thinking of doing ALL ivory colored flowers & candles.  I want a romantic, elegant feel.  Is that too much white?  I can't find any photos of all ivory weddings anywhere.

I think because the walls are dark and floors are dark it will be okay?

    What do you guys think!!??

There was a post on here awhile back about an all white wedding/bridal party. I think that is one of those things either you love it or hate it, but if done correctly would look FANTASTIC! I say go for it!

My best friend's wedding was completely white/ivory and it was very elegant and gorgeous.  GO for it!

It can be absolutely lovely, especially when your venue is gorgeous already.

If you think it's going to work well then go with it. It's your wedding. I think the sound of it is lovely, but only you know what your location looks like. :)

I think it sounds gorgeous! The contrast between the dark walls and floors and the ivory decorations will be great. I hope you go for it, and I hope you show us pictures. :)

I say go for it - it will be absolutely beautiful, trust me.

The contrast of all white or all ivory is such a gorgeous view. I love the look of it!

I've seen it done before and it can be really elegant. I think texture should be important though to break things up. Use a variety of flowers and linens with some sort of texture or pattern. Check out Style Me Pretty for some examples, I know there have been some there.

I agree with daniellemybelle - The key is to layer tones and textures and have different types of flowers. It would be beautiful!!!

DO IT!!! it was what I originally wanted to do. I wanted my BM's to wear a champagne color though since Ivory is too close to white and my mom HATED it she said it was too drab and unflattering on the girls. I think all ivory would look amazing. I would recommend having your bm's in a darker hue though.

I think all ivory is a really sofisticated color pallette.  I think it can be really glamorous and elegant.  We did a lot of ivory with gold accents and it looked really cool.

Also, FWIW, my grandma's BM wore ivory dresses (back in 1948) and the photos still look elegant and timeless.  White/Ivory never goes out of style!

I think it could look beautiful.  I think the trick is just to have different textures to make it visually interesting.  I thought there was a celebrity who has an all white or ivory wedding, but I can't seem to find pictures for it right now (I think it was Beyonce, but not sure).  I did find these, though:

@dax, i was just posting about colors today too! i have the same thoughts/ideas as you-- our reception and ceremony sites are dark and bold, lots of gold, dark wood, and busy designs (especially in the reception hall), so i was thinking all neutral tones, cream, champagne, etc., as well.

i was thinking of cream, champagne, and a big bold color, but haven't decided on it yet.

Our reception was mostly ivory, with accents of gold.  We had dark walls, and used a lot of lighting (uplighting, paper lanterns, candle centerpieces).  The ivory color ended up looking magical!

I love monochramatic weddings and all-white/all-ivories are my favorite. We are doing all ivory for the ceremony. I think it adds a very clean, fresh look and with candles, it is very romantic.

Khloe Kardashian's wedding yesterday was all white, they used intelligent lighting to change the mood.
