With the wedding coming up in less than 3 months (WOW!! can’t believe it’s almost here!), I’ve started to wonder if I have remembered all of the details that I otherwise may have forgotten. With so many things going on at once, it has been hard to keep everything together!
Here are the things I have already:
- Bridal accessories (jewelry, veil, shoes)
- Flower girl baskets
- Bridesmaid & flower girl gifts + accessories
Here are the things I STILL need to get together:
- Card box
- Favors for reception
- Garter + toss garter
- Ceremony program
- Cake cutter + server set
- Toasting flutes
These are the only things I could think of at the moment, so if you have any suggestions for things I’m forgetting about, feel free to share!

I assume you’ve mailed invitations and picked out all the food and cake etc.? You may need a cake topper, seating chart/place cards. Is the ceremony planned? The timeline? The music? Bridal party gifts? Parent gifts?

Keepsake champagne glasses for the bride and groom make a nice touch.

This is really overwhelming for me, too. I am the type of person who gets really worked up when I have to remember several different things, and I can never remember to do more than a few things at any given time. With the wedding, there are SO MANY different little touches that you just don’t think about and then I’ll get on here, or someone will say something, and I’ll think, “Omg, I’ve gotta get that too!”
I can’t really think of what you’re missing because I am unsure of what all you already have. I would suggest checking out my “July Bride Check-in” thread on this board, you might find good ideas there.

@Pinksapphire: @Beckster329: @fishbone: Hey everyone! I apologize for my delayed response to this thread! I should have known to start it AFTER my final exams, because my head has been all over the place for the past two weeks!
Thank you all for your suggestions!
@Beckster329: Thus far, we have picked the menu and the cake, but we are doing a buffet/carving station-style dinner, so guests may sit where they please. The invitations are being addressed by my aunt, who is a calligrapher…best wedding gift EVER! 🙂 She should be done with them and have them back to me by the end of the month, and will have the invites mailed immediately (since we are aiming for RSVPs to return to us by June 14th, exactly a month before the wedding) Hopefully the 2-week window will suffice! Got the bridesmaids” gifts as well, and thank you for mentioning parents’ gifts! I am having trouble picking out music, but our DJ just needs our playlist a week before the wedding. I am stuck, however, on the wedding day timeline. I may sound like a complete idiot, but who’s responsibility is it to make sure everything goes as planned? My fiance’s cousin is an event planner, and offered to help us out. Will the wedding coordinator at the church make sure everything during the ceremony goes off without a hitch? Thank you for your input!

@fishbone: Ooooh, those would make a beautiful touch! Thanks so much!! 🙂
@Pinksapphire: I am the EXACT same way!! I will remember tiny details at the most random times! 😛 Thankfully, I’ve started remembering to write them down as I’m thinking of them! I will definitely start checking out the July brides check-in thread! Thanks darlin!
