Weddingbee boards

I'm feeling a little stressed.  Nothing seems to be going the way I had always imagined for my wedding.  From money issues, to colors, to my wedding dress... it's not what I had in mind. 

To start off I got my wedding dress in today.  When I put it on I thought to myself what was I thinking!?  I love the dress but it doesn't seem right on me.  I'm small and the dress is heavy with LOTS of beading at the top.  I have to get it taken in at the waist, but I'm so worried I'll be pulling it up all night.  I also think about that moment my FI sees me walking down the isle, I just don't think I'll feel beautiful. Then I start to think.  My colors are dark brown & aqua... these are NOT colors I would have ever picked for my wedding, I love them but I always imagined light colors.   My venue is indoors, always thought it would be outdoors with a beautiful view.  To top that there isn't even ANY spot outside that would look decent to take a few pictures.  My photographer- an old high school friend who had always loved photography and is just starting out.  Yet I'm still paying her $1100!  What was I thinking?!

Everything is set in stone now so I guess I'm just venting... HOPING that this is somewhat normal.  Just feeling down tonight.

Your dress is beautiful! As far as everything else goes I'm not sure if it's normal because I haven't started the actual planning...I just have ideas in my head.  But I'm sure it's normal to feel that way seeing as how it's one of biggest days of your life and something you've always dreamed about, and now your plans don't fit your dreams. I think your colors are wonderful but if you wanted to soften them up you could always think about incorporating something pink into them. I love pink and brown and the pink and aqua would look amazing together. Sorry I wasn't too much help, but just remember the best part...you're getting to marry your best friend and that should trump all of the details!  By the way...when you have your hair and makeup on and that gorgeous dress how could not help but feel beautiful!

Don't worry, Jeska! I think its normal that the wedding details are not what you thought they would be! But it doesn't mean it still won't be perfect! In the end, you are marrying the love of your life - and that's the important part!

Your dress is gorgeous! All that beading is gonna come out GREAT in pictures! You'll see! It should be altered to fit, but if you are afraid of it falling, use hollywood tape. Once you have your hair and makeup all done and put together, you'll feel gorgeous - but he'll think so no matter what!

I always remember when I was my sister's MOH and things were not going as planned, and I asked her, "why do you seem so calm and carefree even though these things went wrong?" What would normally throw her in a rage didn't, because she couldn't feel happier, "all that matters is that I'm marrying him today," she said, and it's true!

FYI - my colors are chocolate brown and tiffany blue, too! I let mr. tofu pick them - so since he picked them, i like them, too. 

Ms Tofu- Thanks so much for the kind words and advice.  You're right all that matters is what that day is about anyway.  I shouldn't stress about the details.  I guess my mind was just getting clouded with all the small things.  Never heard of hollywood tape- I'll have to look that up!

@Tanya- That is how I am!  I really love all color schemes I see at weddings.  I hope it pulls together at the end, and this is just a rough patch for me! Thank you.

I think it is completely normal to have second thoughts about your various choices.  At least I hope it is because I am having them too!
