That's awesome you call fake flowers tacky. That's what I did at my wedding because I have bad allergies too, and they turned out beautiful and I can keep them forever. I could be rude right back, but I guess I'll be the bigger person

It just really rubs me the wrong way, because some fake flowers are really beautiful. Apology accepted, thanks for that.

@MrsSl82be: it all comes from our own experience doesnt it;) my mum thinks fans are tacky- and she is the one with the worse allergies. Ya try and do the right thing- and it bites you anyway you do it----
Yeah, if you like the fan (I think it's pretty!), go with it. I have moderate allergies, and I would be STOKED if I went to a wedding in a closed environment where there weren't any flowers.
...and re: fake flowers, some of them are great, some of them aren't. I have one for my hair for the wedding that's gorgeous, but my sister definitely was sending me pictures of fake flowers that looked awful. And I know my grandmother would have a cow if I had fake flowers, no matter how nice they looked. Everybody's got their own weird thing. Ignore the haters as much as you can.
@MrsSl82be: Wow. I think she hit a nerve. I think most people think bad-dollar-store fake flowers when they think about "fake". There are good natural touch flowers, but as someone who used them, i'd think that you'd be aware enough of opinions on the trend to understand why someone would say such a thing without jumping all over them. Everyone doesn't have to think what you personally did was perfect - people should be able to disagree with you without you throwing a fit.
@retreadbride: You could always have Zyrtec favors ;-). Just kidding! Love the fan!

I am giving fans to guests as well, just in case of hot flashes, or temperature issues. They can also be used as offensive/defensive weapons in case family drama breaks out.
