If you love Maggie Dresses, you’ll like the look of the Allure ones. I think they’re very close in price. However, I ended up not trying on the Allure dresses and just going with a Maggie because it came with a corset back. Allure dresses are typically zipper-backs with buttons. Corset backs are more forgiving, so you can lose or gain a tiny amount of weight and not have to spend a ton to have a dress re-altered.

Which Allure dresses are you interested in?

I actually got the price of a few Allure gowns from Best Bridal Prices last week but I ended up  buying a Maggie Sottero on eBay instead.

9064 – $1663

9013 – $1348

9016 – $2158

8972 – $1055

I think most Allures run from around $1000-2000, but you can find some great deals at trunk shows and buying samples.  🙂

@oangeo:  If you arent adverse to buying online, there’s also thay sells Allure gowns. They don’t have a massive selection, and it seems to be older styles, but I think they are quite reasonably priced, and I’ve read all good reviews saying the gowns are authentic.

I was a little sad to not have the corset back, but the allure dresses have such wonderful boning throughout the bodice you will be held in nice and tight, and the detail on the allure dresses is fabulous!

Trunk shows are fun since they bring in special dresses (the one I bought is in the Limited collection so it wasn’t normally in store) plus there is the discount.
