A girl I work with said she just started a new diet and had replaced her milk intake with almond milk...I decided to give it a try after reading up on the web and WOW!  it's really good!

I bought the Silk Brand's Pure Almond in Original...I found that there are more brands and varieties as well, anyone else an Almond Milk fan?

I am a new vegan and haven't tried almond milk yet! I hear it's delicious and also one of the better 'milks'. It's also super easy to make yourself!

I LOOOVE soy milk but try to drink it in moderation because of all the sugar and soy.

@EmShaw - I had never even thought of making it myself...DIY milk, lol!  =)

At any rate, it's really good, which was definitely a pleasant surprise.  My hubby drinks ONLY soy milk and I just cannot get used to it (it's okay if I drink the chocolate one, or use it for cooking or in cereal, but on its' own...no thanks for me!)

@krissycake: I am pretty sure us weddingbee'rs can DIY anything, why not milk! :)

I'm going to pick some up on my way home and give it a try!

I love almond milk! I actually just finished having some with a bowl of cereal. I like the vanilla Almond Breeze the best.

I love ALMOND MILK!!  We drink Almond Breeze and we go through it quick!!  It's also fewer calories than skim milk, for you WW points people its only 1 pt per 1 cup!!  Thats really good!

@jingle - is the almond breeze sold refrigerated or on the grocers shelf?

My husband and I are vegans and LOVE almond milk! He likes to watch his soy intake, so almond milk was a good alternative to soy. For the last year we'd been using Almond Breeze vanilla flavor, found on the grocer shelves. But recently we tried the Silk brand, which we prefer and is cheaper too. (:

Its really hard to find Almond milk I think.  I can only find it at Whole Foods in my area.  I've seen it on the shelves and in the refrigerated section.  I always get it from the fridge section.  And FYI, this milk last longer (2 months) compared to reg. milk of course, which is another plus in our house!

Thanks, jingle!  I checked my grocery store yesterday and we have the Silk & the Almond Breeze, both original and vanilla.  It is more expensive than normal dairy milk but I've noticed how much better I like this milk, and compared apples for apples, it seems like a good trade off for me! =D

BIG fan of unsweetened vanilla Almond Breeze (the sweetened vanilla tastes really sweet and has a LOT more calories).  Took awhile for me to figure out where to find it, but it's worth looking around for!

Some brands I've found to taste a bit chalking, so you made need to try a few.
