    Anyone ever blanch 'em?  I'm about to attempt this for a recipe I'd like to do, and could use some helpful hints!

    I think you can buy them blanched, can't you? I'm allergic to all tree nuts, so I have no first hand knowledge of this. Sorry!

    can't you just flash-boil them? That should take the skins off!

    lol, no idea. However when I saw this post it immediatly drew my eyes to a little tupperwear container I have sittin on my desk filled with almonds for those moments of weakness when I want something to snack.

    yup, popped a few in my mouth...and I am done.

    I don't know if this would work with your recipe, but my gradmother soaks 'em over night. The skin just slides off in the morning.

    @ Bear Cub: Yup, that's what I did.  Skins weren't the EASIEST thing to get off, but I made fairly quick work of it while watching HP 4 on TV last night!
