    I'm so excited for Christmas, we are doing ours tonight, before we head up to Maine to be with our families (less hauling of gifts, plus I get to open them early!).  The boy is cooking dinner right now and we are using our wedding china for the first time!

    How do you plan on celebrating with your SO?

    How sweet, Gloss!  Mr. Y and I are hosting Christmas dinner for my family this year... I'm so excited!  We were just trying to figure out what our tradition for that morning should be.  Pancakes, perhaps?  :o)

    Thats exciting!  We still havent used our china!  We are going to church with his parents on Christmas eve and then spending the night at their house to open gifts with everyone the next morning.  BIL/SIL 1 and BIL/SIL 2 are going home to have Christmas morning at their house because they have kids and BIL/SIL 3 are going home to have it at their house first also but they dont have kids.  We couldve stayed home and had our first Christmas Day at home as a married couple but I figure until we have kids we will continue to spend the night at his parents house.

    This is our first married Christmas.  We're splitting our time with our families--spending a few days with the ILs now.  We'll be here until Christmas morning, when we drive (4.5 hours) to my family party.

    One of the things I was kind of disappointed about was that we don't have any real couple time together.  We decided that we're going to open our presents from each other together at our apartment on Christmas night.

    We're very lucky, my FI's family always has Christmas on Christmas eve so we go there Christmas eve and to my parents Christmas day. We don't have many traditions at our house yet, we need to figure something out.

    @Gloss - aww.  That IS sweet.  :)

    We'll spend Christmas day with my family.

    We put up our first tree together this year.  We've been together for four years and lived together for three, but never had a tree before because we were always traveling during the holidays.  It was such a bonding experience!  Maybe for the first time ever, I felt like he and I are becoming our own little family unit.  I could picture putting up the tree with our future kids.

    Merry Christmas, all!

    Christmas Eve and Christmas: Food and hanging out with the families in approximately 5-hour stints. Then, home. We're going to clean, unpack all of his stuff, go through our closets and drawers in the extra rooms of the house. Some major winter cleaning, if you will. We're having some filet mignon tonight (my parents gave us a loaf this weekend!) with korean bbq sauce (mmm bulgolgi) and probably just relaxing and having some wine tonight.

    Christmas Eve FI and I will go to church then over to his parent's house for food and merriment.  We will then leave there, go pick up our dogs and drive 45 minutes to my parent's house because I refuse to NOT wake up there on Christmas morning.  I know, I'm spoiled but I can't help it.

    Then we'll spend all day eating, drinking and watching movies.

    Christmas Eve, my sister and I are getting together with some of our friends to exchange gifts.  On Christmas Day, my parents and my sister and her boyfriend are coming by my FI's house for lunch.  Then we'll visit extended family later on in the day.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!!!!

    Well, we typically travel to NY or NC to spend the holiday with his fam or mine.  But this year we can't travel because I'm pregnant and due tomorrow.  So, this year my parents, sister, and BIL are coming up to Boston to celebrate with us.  We'll have Christmas Eve dinner all together at our apartment.  Then Christmas Day, we'll spend with family friends that live in the area.

    @rosychicklet A Christmas baby! How exciting!! Although I'm sure you're hoping the little one will wait until the festivities are over, and hopefully not come during your xmas eve dinner ;-) Congrats and good luck!!

    BF and I are both working a half day tomorrow. Then my brother is meeting us at our apartment and we are making the 4 hour trip to upstate NY to visit our parents. Christmas morning we will open gifts and eat Christmas cookies, and then BF and I will make the 3 hour drive for Christmas dinner at BF's parents' home. On Saturday we'll load up the car again and make the 2 hour drive to my grandparent's house. Sadly, everyone lives so far away that we will spend most of our time travelling, but I am still excited to see my family, some of whom I haven't seen since the summertime!
