Beautiful dress!  Were your knees locked?  Sometimes when military are standing in formation they fail to keep their knees relaxed and end up falling out.

Stunning!! If you feel comfortable in the dress, I guess I wouldn’t worry too much. Just make sure to eat and drink (water) plenty the day of the wedding 🙂 I get the same way when I do not eat, the dizziness, paleness, fiant feeling. Eat up!! 🙂

You were probably locking your knees and just didn’t realize it. I’m a chronic knee locker – I’ll definitely have to conciously bend my knees slightly on the wedding day (which will be fine – no one can notice under a big dress!).

Or, if you ate a lot of carbs/sugars the night before, it could have been your blood sugar crashing.

im so confused… what is knee locking and why does it make you faint?

OP, maybe your sugar was low, you were dehydrated, there are many reasons one can feel light headed. I have low blood pressure issues and if I don’t drink a ton of water all the time, i get light headed really easily.

Yeah, it sounds like you accidentally locked your knees.

@stardustintheeyes:  It’s when you stand for awhile with your legs straight instead of slightly bent. This pinches a blood vessel and prevents blood from going to your brain, and you feel awful pretty quickly. I have to make a conscious effort to bend my knees when I’m standing for a long time.

@Ellyson:  ah I see. Makes sense. I have never had that happen (thank god!) but I do this awkward thing where my one leg is always bent. I always hated that I do that, but maybe it’s a good thing after all! lol

@ImaStarr:  Beautiful dress!!!

I had the same situation happen at my dress fitting, and it was in no way too tight…it felt like all the air has been sucked out of the room. I think it was all the wedding stress getting to me.

Also, was it really hot? That can sometimes cause light headedness and fainting.

@ImaStarr:  Sorry to go off-topic but did you go to UF?  Just noticed your location.  I went there from ’97-’03.  🙂
