Yesterday, I had my hair/makeup done. Well correction, I was suppose to have my hair and makeup done. AT the last minute my hair stylist could not come b/c her dad was in an accident. Believe me - 100% ok. I adore this woman, she's like a sister. I tell her what I want, like, and she goes and makes magic. I did not worry at ALL. However, my sister in law who works as an esthetician, bought me my makeup by one of the best artists around. She's incredible. So, yesterday I went for my trial. SHe was going to do my hair just so I get an idea of what it all looks like. I'm one of those girls who doesn't like looking in the mirror before it's all done. Ok fine, so I sit and wait while these girls go to work. BUT, then I looked in the mirror and wanted to cry. Of course I said it was great and Iloved it but my sister in law could tell that i wanted to cry. I have BIG eyes, so I usually wear eyeliner and mascara etc. BUT i just pictured something else for my wedding day.I thought that I would look the most beautifulist, prettiest, as I ever did. This was like my hair was in a ponytail after tri practice and then i slapped on some makeup. OK- it was NOT that bad at all but that's whati FELT LIKE.

OH boy, I got home called my fiance and had a break down. Then I was like OK, suck it up, you are being STUPID.......I put my hair piece back in, put my earrings on, took off my tshirt, put a tube top on (so i can get an idea of my dress being strapless) and tried to re think things......I don't know. It's just hard for me. I guess I expected something different. And my hair will be, I will have a different trial with me hair. BUt you know how you anticipate things then it's like SMASH disaster. This was not disaster but I was just so emotional. Horomones, period, 12 hour days at work, blame it on that...........so............yes.......deep breaths.

All in all my makeup was great, it was flawless and looked natural. She did a wonderful job. Hair we will redo and it will be fine. Things will come and go and I will be fine. I am just so self conscious, I have a huge nose and buggy eyes. I've been dreaming about my wedding day for YEARS. Now it's HERE.I just want to FEEL BEAUTIFUL......Hopefully the next trial will go better..........

you look gorgeous! and dont feel stupid about the breakdown. i think we as brides just want the day to be perfect and so we imagine things in our head and when it doesnt exactly fit our vision we freak out and think things will fall apart and everything is hopeless....trust me. i've had plenty of meltdowns. except instead of crying i usually just throw something haha. i still have to get my trial makeup and hair done :/ so i'll probably have the same story as you.

I get it (the feeling) -- but I don't see it in reality! 

For some reason, I am super picky about noses.  Probably because I have a prominent nose myself (though I like mine -- a little nose would look weird on my face).  Your nose is lovely and elegant and your eyes are soft and dreamy.  I think this is a case of having blinders on. 

My first steady boyfriend, when I was all of 14 or 15, told me ONCE that he thought I had knobby knees.  Short skirts have been a struggle for me ever since!  I get compliments on my legs all the time, but I CAN'T see it 'cuz I'm looking for the knobby knees! 

Seeing your absolutely lovely face puts it in perspective for me.  In my mind I have distorted my knees!  And YOU have distorted your face.

Now about the make up.  I think you're right about one thing.  It does seem a little too "I could do THIS myself."  What seems to missing for me is a little color on the eyes.  With your pretty brown, I'd go for a plumb color or maybe rosey pink.  Because you're right -- you need something different and special for your wedding day!

Lips and cheeks = perfect.

I love the lipstick color and your hair is very nice. I would wear my hair that way if my neck wasn't so long . The flower in the hair is so elegant. I think your eyes could pop a little more even if you do have big eyes!! I have them too and I think that's my best feature!!

Thank you guys. Seriously........I know we all can freak out at one point or another and I guess this is just mine. I'm taking everyone's advice......I'm going to have my hair done by my "normal" girl and then go from there. I'm going to request to my make up artist a little more "pop" to my eyes without sacrificing the elegance. I can't thank you guys enough for helping me deal with this "meltdown". LOL as stupid as it is. You guys are the best. I will post updates too! Thanks for not thinking i'm crazy!!!!!!!!!!

@December Lanie: Thanks girl, I know I need to bite the bullet and SAY SOMETHING! Monday I'm having my normal girl do my trial, at my HOUSE. Yes, she's that wonderful. And I told her my feelings so she knows how to work with me! I agree, I should have that feeling! Thanks so much for your support, seriously!!!!!!! Total melt down= is improving LOL.

@Adriana.Niva: Thanks, Hun! YEs, that lighting is really poor and the shadows are horrible. Plus my bathroom is painted pink (Eekkkk- not by me) and it really creates a bad glow. She did a good job with the concealing part. I agree with the eyes. I took pictures with me before, but need to get some new ones! THanks so much bees!!!!!!!!!

I was also thinking false eyelashes might help you look different than your everyday look. That is something I worry about also, because I wear makeup every day and do a smokey eye on myself whenever I go out at night. I want wedding day makeup to be like.. DAMN. Not like, okay let's go to the movies. I do have to say, I think the makeup in your pics is GORGEOUs and you have such a pretty smile that that's what shows the most. So maybe just pop on some falsies with the makeup how it is? Good luck!

@FinallyGettingMarried: totally agree!  I agree with you 100%. Even with the hair, I know she just "did it quick" but really, I look more put together after triathlon practice than I do here. Tomorrow is hair trial, def going to do a lot more!!!! And, make up trial #2 is being planned as well!

UPDATE!!!!!!! HEllo my beautiful BEES!!!!!!! FIrst of all........ THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!! FOR being so supportive and loving towards not just me but everyone on here. This is such a wonderful yet stressful crazy time and I appreciate your feedback and advice to me and others.

So with that, here are my HAIR TRIAL pictures from TODAY. Keep in mind Make up was done by MYSELF so it's just kind of thrown on. My hair stylist came to my house. How awesome is she! She agreed my make up from the trial needs more pop in my eyes and my cheek bones. We'll do that trial again next.

NOTE: For hair, it went great, she was working with LIMITED SUPPLIES AND NO MIRRORS (I know, I should have thought of that before! haha) so we concluded hair front top will need some "MORE POOF and HEIGHT" and things will be held more securely on the big day. @BruinBee: Thanks hun! YOu're so cute! Hahaha :) Thank you for the nice words. YES, my hair stylist is amazing, I told her what I wanted and taaaa daaaaa! I was so happy! The hair piece is a little off b/c I had to play with the comb. We actually took it off the comb and just bobby pinned it in. It worked so much better! In the pictures I actually repositioned it so that's why it's kind of off! haha. Thanks so much for the sweet comment!

@jenbrandner: Thanks, girl! I actually had to repin my hair piece since I was playing around with it so it was positioned a lot better! hahaha. I was all awkward in the mirror trying to shove it into place :) haha. Thanks for the comment, I appreciate the feedback :)
