I had one of FI’s Aunt & Uncle, their kids…so FI cousins and all their kids, so like 12 people in total all decline before invites went out because they couldn’t make their annual family vacation and our wedding work out. I guess our wedding weekend was the only weekend they could also make work for their weeklong vacation. It was disapointing, but they had their own plans and don’t live locally so not much we can do!

Now though we’ve gotten a lot of acceptances! 🙂

So once you start getting actual RSVPs back it will be exciting.

That sucks 🙁 My parents hosted my engagement party so they received all the RSVPs for that. The declines we got actually made me really sad. I wasn’t told about the declines in a timely way, so I wasn’t able contact the pepole to let them know they’ll be missed! One of the declining couples pretty much invited themselves, and then declined two weeks before the event. Ugh.

I’m having less than 50 people at my wedding, so I’ll probably be sad about every decline. At least it won’t be like the engagement party where we already had personalized favours for each guest. Since we had four people unable to attend the engagement party, I still have their gifts! I don’t know what the heck to do with them.

My friend from New York and her boyfriend told me they probably weren’t able to make it before I even sent out the invitations. I still sent them one, though, because I knew she’d like to see it and write back on the RSVP.

I also know my younger cousin won’t be making it because that’s the night of his prom and I know at his age I’d have preferred prom to my cousin’s wedding.

It sucks because they mean a lot ot you, but at the same time, I just looked at it like “Yes! Another $20 per person I don’t have to pay! WOO! I’ll buy a book/shoes/shirt with that money!” But I was insanely anal about keeping our wedding small AND on budget, so. Yeah. xD

A lot of my friends are taking post-graduation trips and will be gone as well. One of my closest friends gets home from Europe the DAY after mine. 🙁 Wish she could make it, but this means her boyfriend doesn’t have to come…lolz

MrsWinTraining2014:  Oh, then it sucks more. Our food was per person, and obviously the size of the cake was determinant on the number of people, so..Lol.

*hug* Just be glad for all the people that are there 😀

MrsWinTraining2014:  That’s good! 😀 We had 50 even (not including ourselves) and it was just the perfect size. I feel bad because I still didn’t get to mingle with everyone as much as I would have liked (I guess I could have but then I wouldn’t have been able to dance to all my favorite music with everyone either), but it was nice and small and really intimate and it was awesome. 😀 So. Yay! You will be super happy no matter what. 🙂

My FI’s aunt declined when we first told her the date (WAY before invites went out) as she had planned a pilgramige for that time before we were even engaged. I pretty much counted her out of coming.

Around Christmas, we come to find out that she had worked with her church to get put on a different trip to the same place 3 months after our wedding.  My FI is very excited, but part of me is like “But, now we have to pay to feed her.”  Not that I don’t want her there!

So, just don’t count anyone out until the RSVPs are officially in!

Maybe they don’t have the money to travel for your wedding so soon after throwing their child a graduation party.

It’s not a “rejection”, it’s just a no sorry!
