I think painting the frames navy, and maybe adding like...beach grass? I can't think of the name, but adding that to the centerpieces:

And adding sand in there as well. Since its nautical themed, do you want to include anchors in some way? I've seen some cute ideas out there if you'd like more inspiration
Yes please! I need all the inspiration I can get. I don't want to go too over the top with it. And we are incorporating anchors on the favors boxes, invitations and possible for a late night cookie break. I wanted to add sand either in the vase or have the vase sitting in sand but I am not sure how to do it and keep the sand contained. I have looked for white trays but haven't found a whole lot.
I have so many ideas but am not nearly as creative as I thought.
@Heatherloveskenny: I totally agree here. I think beachgrass is a great idea.
What color are your bridesmaids' dresses? I see colors are navy, aqua and white. In our situation, we're using royal blue, light blue and ivory. The BMs are royal blue, so my main color is royal blue (in the example, your frame & P would be the royal blue) and the light blue was simply an accent. Perhaps that would tie in the nautical feel more?
I actually did some searching at the dollar tree and they might have something that would keep it contained if you want to check it out
I feel like a navy blue frame with two white anchors stenciled/pained in opposite corners would be cute.
I don't know if you've seen this, and its not centerpiece related but...

I'm obsessed with this inspiration board! The bouquet with the anchor charm! Ahh.
Sorry--back to topic! Have you thought about navy runners over the white table cloth??
ETA: target has some little white lanterns you can add to each table, they come in a pack of 4, for $12 but that says nautical to me
@sorrycharlie - The BM dresses are navy, my dress is ivory (hated it in white) with a navy sash and shoes. I will have to re-paint them and see how they look.
@heatherloveskenny - Unfortunately, I can't have/add runners or napkins or anything other than what the venue is providing. Extremely strict =(. Cute idea on the frame, FI wanted keep it brown to go with the "natural look". I actually have palm fronds on the vase (don't know if the picture came through though, my work computer doesn't show pics posted on the board), I think they need to be a little shorter though.
Where would you incorp the beach grass though? Obviously, I am totally clueless on these things. I should add that the tables are rectagular and seat 6. My placecards are little navy origami sailboats. The table #'s are still to be decided. Each place setting is going to have a white favor box with navy ribbon and an anchor charm. I really don't want to add flowers to anything either.

Hey Ladies! I know ya'll are good at being creative but I need some major help. My wedding is less than 3 months away and my centerpieces are just blah... blah.... blah. We are getting married on a dinner cruise and they are strict on what we can and can't do. No candles, no uncontained sand, nada. I did a mock up of the centerpieces and I can't stand them. Please help me make them better.
We have a nautical/beach theme going on since it is in Clearwater, FL and our colors are Navy, Aqua and White. The tableclothes are all white, so I want to make the centerpieces stand out and this is certainly not doing it for me.
Help! Please and thank you!
