I didn't go through there, but thats about what I got quoted in NJ... i'm petite too and they had me order a "petite" dress. It cost more initally (which I didn't understand since its less lace) but they assured me it would save me $$ in alterations.
@tini: Curious if you found any good suggestions for alterations? I believe I will just need hemming for my dress, but I've found such mixed reviews on places!

Hello! I bought my dress from Bridal Sophisticate in Media, PA. They quoted a *starting* price of $400 cash for alterations. I'm petite, and my gown is lace with a lace hem...so it's going to need a good deal of work (bustle, hem, cups, shorten the torso). I'm afraid of it costing a fortune and not being happy with the result. Has anyone gotten alterations done at Bridal Sophisticate? What other places/seamstresses are in the area? (I did see Nilah, and will probably get a quote from her, too.) Thanks, Bees!
