About a week ago I was having a downright meltdown about everything! Maybe you’ve read my post. Anyway I had my first alterations fitting today and came away feeling so much better tha I did before. First of all, it was at David’s Bridal, which I’ve been told to be leery about, but the seamstress was amazing. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to afford everything (I’m having the zipper changed to a laceup back) and had originally been quoted like $175. As I had bought more and more things I was afraid I’d reached the limit on my card and couldn’t afford it. However, it only ended up costing $115 (maybe because I’d been quoted in the Dallas/Ft Worth area and had it done in the College Station area) and because I had my own ribbon (I’d ordered it in Malibu from David’s Brfall for about $5. So then it needed hemming and before telling me I had to she asked me. Which I liked a lot. And quoted the price. So with that I was able to also get a bustle and still came out with money left and I get to keep my veil (read my earlier post for more details). I still have enough for anything else I might need.
All in all? I feel so much better, feel confident and I’m happy with what I’m getting. Also I have no idea why the picture is sideways. But maybe it’ll give at least an idea.
