Thanks for posting about your experience. I have been worried about my getting my dress altered to fit me. My measurements are so out of wack (way smaller than the smallest size around bust, size 4 to 6 waist, and size 8 hips). I had to order my dress to fit my hips, but it will be way too big everywhere else! Glad to hear everything worked out for you! Hopefully I won't have any issues either!
Awwwww yay!!! I'm 5'0" and hover around 105-110 lbs. I ordered my dress and am (im)patiently waiting for it to arrive! I am SOOO nervous about how it will fit. The sample I tried on was so long and obviously did not look right on me, but the dress was so beautiful. I'm just hoping it looks as good as I have imagined it will... I'm so glad to hear that your dress fits you perfectly!!
PS. I have really tiny feet and often shop in the kids section because it's cheaper! Some of the shoes look just like the adult ones... I will fully admit that I own a pair of "Wizards of Waverly Place" flats. :D FI LOVESSS to make fun of me for that, but the shoes are too cute and were so much cheaper!
Lol...that sounds like me. :) I have shoes that are reminiscent of the Wiazrd of Oz and size 4 little girls and every time I wear them (sparkly ballet flats)FI says something. ;). I love them though.
lol...I teach 1st grade and the other day me and a student wore the same cardigan (I bought it in the target's kid section). First place I go for shoes is the kid section! Being petite has it's pros.

Hi everyone! I just thought I'd post this because before I had no clue. I'm petite. VERY petite lol. I'm 4'11 and weigh 100 lbs. I was so worried when shopping for my wedding dress because nothing fits me. I have to have everything altered. I could wear kids clothes but really, what grown woman wants to wear a dress designed by Hannah Montana. ;) When shopping for my dress I was worried about getting everything in the right place, meaning the waist to fall correctly, bust, etc. Also I was so worried about the hemming of the dress, especially if the skirt had any detail. I didn't want all the detail to end up on the floor and thrown away. Anyway, fast forward the 6 months after I ordered my dress. We got it in, and I scheduled my appointment with the alterations department. The seamstress was very calming and positive when I expressed my concerns, insisting that it would be perfect and you'd never know, but I still had this niggling doubt in my head. So, I got the call Thursday that my dress was ready and scheduled a time to come in for a final fitting. The dress was PERFECT! It fit like a glove, and honestly looked like it was made for me. :):):):):) So, if any of you petite brides are worried, don't be! Alterations really are amazing and can do just about anything. Good luck and congrats to all of you.
