ALTERATIONS HELP – do you think these sleeves could be removed??

Did you check the Dessy website? So many of they’re gowns are available in long vs. short, etc., that they might have a strapless version? (My daughter’s bridal party are wearing Dessy). P.S. I’m not a sewer, but they don’t look functional.

Yes, they can be (unless they’re attached in a complex way that doesn’t show in the picture). We had a similar issue with my bridesmaids’ dresses from DB, except it was just one sleeve. My BMs all went to different seamstresses, but they all had it done quickly and for very little money. One paid $15 and had it done while she waited, but that was at a small local shop so I don’t know that it’s representative.

That said, that dress looks to be a pretty common pattern that you can get without sleeves, so that might be the best option for you.
