@futuremrsfish: I really LOVE this shop in Wilminton. We've been using her since before MY wedding 18 years ago. I've seen Quinces, Weddings, Proms etc. done by her. She altered my dress, my bosses dress and is done quickly at reasonable prices. I used to live by the circle and it would take me about 15 - 20 min to get to her shop, just driving out PCH. Hope this helps!
I am going through an independent seamstress, Janet Brunton in Orange. Also there is Mahtab in South OC. In LA, many brides have used Rene(In Stitches) in Woodland Hills.
I was able to find Janet via this site and weddingwire.com. I also checked out Yelp.com reviews. I go for my 1st fitting on Tuesday. I've already sent pictures of my dress and we've come up w/ a great gameplan. Let me know if you want her info. I don't have it on me right now.
I don't have a good seamstress in Orange County to recommend, but I wanted to warn you to stay away from alterations at Ferndales Bridal in Orange, as I had a terrible experience there.

Try Harmony Alterations in Anaheim, they're often recommended by a Bridal Boutique I went to. Her name is Teresa, there are 2 reviews in Yelp which are both good, but if the Bridal Boutique recommends her she must be good...I did see a bride trying on her dress after it had been altered by her and she looked AMAZING...I bought my dress at another boutique, but I am definitely using her services for my gown...oh almost forgot here is her informaiton-

Sorry, there are no users yet.
I picked up my dress, but the shop unfortunately doesn't do alterations. So I am looking for recommendations from all of you lovely ladies!
My dress shop recommended L'Mode Bridal, does anyone have any experience with them? Online reviews seem mostly good, but there are some bad ones in there (aren't there always?)
I'm in Long Beach, so I'd be fine with shops either in LA or OC. Please let me know if you have a good one. Thanks!
