Hi everyone,

I am looking for a place in the lowermainland/vancouver BC area for getting the alterations done for my dress. I am looking to see if anyone on here had a great experience some place and got a great price.

In Newport Village in Port Moody there's a lady named Elena (Werner & Elena Tailoring & Alternation 604-461-1192) who did a fantastic job on my friend's wedding dress. She's altered many bridesmaid dresses for me, pants for my FI and will be doing my wedding dress next year. She's not super pricy but not overly cheap either. She is very good though! Good luck!

I used a woman who lives near me to do my alterations. Her name is Betty but she doesn't have a website and her English isn't that great (she's cantonese speaking). She was super inexpensive..and pretty popular! When I went for my first fitting she had a gaggle of 8 girls coming in to do custom bridesmaids dresses.

My aunt alters bridesmaid dresses for a reasonable price of $50-100.

She's been a seamstress for more than 30 years working in Hong Kong making wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, clothing etc. When she moved to Vancouver, BC many many many years ago, she worked in sewing factories and is now working at a shop in Richmond, altering clothing that people purchase.
