Hi bees! This was the day I said yes to the dress, less that one month after we got engaged.
Back when I first pulled my dress out of the bag, it looked a little lifeless, long, and busy.
It was about 2-3 inches too long, too heavy to move in, and had an applique on the torso that I grew to despise. Fast foward almost a year and I have finally had some alterations done:
I have a 5 point bustle (currently pinned in place for effect) and my wonderful seamstress managed to shorten the hem line without having to remove any flowers. I was worried that the skirt wouldnt look like the one I tried on in the store but it finally fluffed up and I couldnt be happier with it! (also, ding-dong, the applique is gone!)
If feels great to be able to move around in my dress and finally feel like a bride instead of a mannequin! One final appointment left to see the finished bustle and put all the elements of the look together (veil, jewelry, etc.) Cant wait to show you all!

That dress is GORGEOUS. Also, I just love the bustle for some reason! I love a bustle that looks just as good or better than the train!

Thanks ladies! I guess I should mention that the veil in the top pic and the necklace in the second pic are the actual ones I will be wearing, but I havent seen them all together and with my hair up. I’m so anxious to see everything together and hope it works!

Wow looks so beautiful on you! I love the alterations you had done. I actually bought this dress as my first dress and eventually exchanged it because my style changed.
