if it the reviews say its bad, its probably bad. if i were you i would find a local seamstress that can do the work for you. its usually cheaper too! start asking around, you can also usually take the dress to another bridal store that is better known for altering dresses.
or.. talk to the person who did the cosultation with you.. in private!! she will probably tell you the truth!
I got my alterations done by a local designer.
Her name is Sarah Jassir and she has a studio near Grand Central station.
She was the seamstress for the salon I got my dress at used, but she may do other work as well.
Wouldn't hurt to ask.

Hi!
I am seriously considering a dress I tried on at the Pronovias flagship store. My consultant was super nice and so far the experience has been great. However, it seems like there are some not so great reviews on the Internet about their alteration services including some day before wedding nightmare stories. It scares me! The dress I am looking at is form fitting, so it has to be a perfect fit for it to be flattering. Do you have any personal experiences at hte flagship store to share? Or if I don't get my alterations done there, any recommendations for another place in NYC for Pronovias dresses?
