Sheryl Kelm in Pasadena is great, and very affordable, too. Her e-mail is kelmdesigner@comcast.net
Thanks! Hope to have my dress in hand in a few weeks so I can start contacting people.
Any other Baltimore bees have suggestions?
I'm using Isabella Donnelly (http://www.isabeldonnelly.com/index.html) - she's in Ellicott City and she's really working magic on my dress since I pretty much hated it when I brought it in! She is absolutely NOT a "bargain" option, but it was cheaper than buying a new dress :)
I did the same thing! Tammy Brown at Tam's Dressmaking. Definitely an affordable option. http://www.tamsdressmaking.com/
I would second Sheryl Kelm. I got her number from another board and am meeting with her in January, it seems like she gets a ton of experience and seems more reasonably priced. Best of luck!
My mother in law owns Elegant Moments in Perry Hall, MD--I'm not sure how much you are looking to travel and/or spend on alterations--but I highly recommend--she altered my wedding gown, just did wonders on a BM gown that came in 2 sizes too small for a wedding in 2 weeks! And she does all of my alterations for my regular everyday clothes!
Thanks for the suggestions guys. Seems I let it go a little long, some people were already booked!
I ended up going with Anne's Silver Threads. I really liked her at the initial meeting, hopefully all goes well!

Hey bees! So my plan to save money by buying off the rack kinda failed. The person I wanted to do my alterations says she cannot alter my dress... so on to a professional!
Does anyone have recommendations for alterations? I'd prefer it not break the bank, but I think it would be a mistake to go "bargain" when it comes to this. I need the dress taken in just a bit at the waist and hips, a bustle, and cups sewn in.

I'm in the Columbia area but willing to drive!
