Wendy's Bridal in Dublin does alterations. Prices are slightly higher if you didn't purchase your dress from them.
Ohhh, of course! I had a not-so-great experience trying dresses on there, but at this point I just need someone to make my dress fit :) Thanks!!
I have purchased my dress and had alterations there. I love my dress, but it has been very pricey to get the alterations. And I am starting to wonder why the dress needs so many alterations when the sample fit me perfectly, and the same size was odered. Hhhmmm.....
Can I just say..... I HATE WENDY'S BRIDAL. Phew. I feel better. :)
I got my dress at the Wedding Plantation on the east side. I haven't gotten it in yet but I do plan to have them do the alterations. You can get dresses altered there if you haven't bought there too... but I can't really give a recommendation yet because I don't know how they are. I know there is also another place on Sancus up by Polaris. It is is in the same plaza as Henri's bridal but I can't recall the name. Sorry..
@CorgiTales: I think I know what you're talking about - is it that drycleaning place that does eco-friendly treatments?
@CorgiTales: I think it's the Alteration Station or something like that. i live up there for the time being so will check them out. I'm in kind of a weird situation because I bought a dress at Elegant Bride (looove Wafa) but decided not to wear it and bought another... but didn't tell her because I felt bad :( Their alterations person is awesome, but I can't use her, so now I have this fear of taking it somewhere shady and it coming out a mess lol
@Masala: No idea. We bought our BM dresses at Henri's and they told us that we'd get 20% off alterations if we went to the place in that plaza since we bought from them. I remember looking and noticing where it was... but no clue what the name is.
@TealChocolate: lol too funny. Yea I dont know... I am a bit nervous about alterations too but what can you do? Do you need complicated alterations? I am going to need a hem and bustle, and I might also see about making the sweetheart neckline more pronounced. So... not SUPER complicated stuff.
Not really, just a bustle, hem, and it to be taken in a little bit. It's just that it's got a lace overlay and a really cool detail at the hem that I'd love to keep looking good. That said, in all reality who's going to be looking at my hem?! :) If I find somewhere great I'll let you know :)
