I ordered my Bridal Gown in March and now have it in my possession until I can bring it to a seamstress that’s more local to me in December/January.
I have lost a few pounds since I ordered the gown and plan to lose 15-20 more before November. I tried the gown on tonight and it’s big in the bust and baggy-looking in the bodice. It’s a ballgown with a fitted bodice and crumbcatcher neckline, but it has a built-in corset.
I’m hoping the seamstress will not only be able to take in the gown enough, but also the built-in corset? Can you even take in a corset? It has the hook/eye closures all the way down the corset, with a zipper on the dress that covers it (with faux crystal buttons over that).
Has anyone ever had a gown like this and needed to have it taken in? Thanks!
