I wouldn't alter the style of hem on that gown.
I definitely would leave your dress as it is. Just because you saw and fell in love with ANOTHER dress that has a high-low hem, that does not mean that this look would be good for THIS dress. I do not think that type of alteration would go at all with your currrent gown.
Instead, perhaps you could find a really fun (but non-wedding) dress with a high-low hem and wear it to your rehearsal/rehearsal dinner.
don't change it. I think it will take away from the lovely tain on this dress. ps your dress is by Bonny Bridal. I saw another post where you were not sure. i tried this on it was one of my favoites!

I was looking at dresses and fell in love with the high low hem. I am thinking about altering my dress in order to achieve the same look, but I'm not sure if it will look right. Excuse my rediciulous paint job, but here's the dress with the high low hem and with the regular hem.
