@tleaney: Welcome to the bee! Gorgeous dress and I love the sash! You could wear a necklace for added bling. So that you don’t lose the detail on the bust part of the dress you could have it altered to a dipped neckline, it creates a soft look. Here’s my dress as an example

@tleaney:  First off I really like your dress, I tried one on very similar to it and quite liked. I think that blingy jewellery would look lovely especially like a blingy headband would look really. I think that a neckline like CatyLady’s would look lovely on this dress too!

@tleaney:  I think that might be a little overkill to tell you the truth with the lovely detail at the waist. It would take away from that lovely detailing

@tleaney:  A sweetheart necline would normally look good with that style of dress, but my concern is the vertical pleats at the bust area.  I think they’d look beter with a neckline that has straight lines instead of rounded lines.

Because of these, I don’t think a true sweetheart woudl work as well, but I think you could do something between a sweetheart and a v-neck. The picture the PP posted above is sort of what I’m thinking of – see how the lines of the neckline are straight like a v-neck instead of rounded like a sweetheart? – but maybe you could make it a little deeper than in the photo above.

As for the bling. I wouldn’t want to add any to the waist area as that would detract from the flattering feature of the belt. I also think the idea of adding beads to the “v” under the bust wouldn’t work either, because it woudl look like you were wearing two belts: one at the waist and one under the bust.

But I think you should add some to the chest area. How about adding crystas/beads along the vertical pleat lines? Maybe you could add larger crystals right at the top of the pleats, at the neckline, and then gradually move to smaller crystals moving down the lines to where they join with the ruching?

I really like the neckline as it currently is! And I think an blingy sash at the waist would look great. If you’re set on a sweetheart neckline though, I’m sure it would turn out pretty too

@tleaney:  I like the belt where it is and don’t think you should remove it – it highlights the smallest part of your waist, which is a good thing.
