- Wedding: February 2015
I will be getting married in Feb 2015. I have 6 lovely bridesmaids: my sister & her wife, my future sister-in-law, and three best friends. My husband-to-be will also have 6 groomsmen: two best friends, 3 brothers, and a brother-in-law.
So, 4 out of 6 of my BMs are gay, and 3 of them are not dress people. I am completely fine with half my BMs not wearing dresses – I love my BMs and would never want to make them feel uncomfortable. I obviously love them just the way they are and would never dream of forcing them into anything that made them feel like someone else. But the question is – what should they wear?
Three of my BMs will be wearing long chiffon blush pink dresses. The guys will be wearing 3 piece charcoal (dark gray) suits. My other 3 BMs won’t be wearing dresses, and I also don’t want to have them wear the same thing as they guys (because, hello, they are not guys).
I was thinking about doing something like this, let me know if you think it would corrdinate with the others:
Gray women’s suit pants (in a slightly lighter gray than the guys will be wearing), and a blush pink button up shirt (rolled/cuffed sleeves).
Anyone have opinions? Let me know what you think, or if you have any alternative ideas!
Thanks in advance!
